The Speaker of the House of Commons has just kicked out Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre for refusing to retract his characterization of Justin Trudeau as a “wacko”, “radical”, and/or “extremist”.
The comment that got Poilievre booted came when he was speaking on drug overdoses in BC and Trudeau’s failure to act on the BC government’s request to reverse their decision and recriminalize hard drugs, which have been killing thousands.
“Mr. Speaker, it is a choice for [Trudeau] to implement extremist policies that have taken the lives of 2,500 British Columbians every single year. Since the NDP has asked [Trudeau] to reverse course on his, and formerly their, radical policy, 22 British Columbians have died of drug overdoses,” Poilievre said.
“But [Trudeau] continues to allow those drugs to kill the people in our hospitals and on our public transit. When will we put an end to this wacko policy by this wacko Prime Minister?”
“That is not acceptable,” Liberal Speaker Greg Fergus immediately chimed.
Fergus then asked Poilievre to withdraw his comment (i.e., the characterization of Trudeau as a “wacko Prime Minister”).
Poilievre refused.
“Mr. Speaker, I replace ‘wacko’ with ‘extremist’,” Poilievre said.
The Speaker repeated himself and asked Poilievre again.
“I’ll replace it with ‘radical’,” Poilievre said.
The Speaker asked him again, a request to which Poilievre wouldn’t comply.
At this point, Speaker Greg Fergus proceeded to kick the Leader of the Opposition out of the House of Commons for speaking badly of Trudeau.
“Mr. Poilievre, I have to name you for disregarding the authority of the chair. Pursuant to the authority granted to me by Standing Order 11, I order you to withdraw from the House and from any participation by video conference for the remainder [of this day’s sitting],” Fergus said.
Following this declaration, every Conservative MP got up and walked out alongside Poilievre.
Oh there will indeed be hell to pay.Count on it.

Actually, he meets the criteria to be called a psychopath. His psychopathy was exacerbated by his massive drug use, as a teen, at the feet of his mother.
Anyone who disagrees with him is labeled an extremist, a mysoginist, a racist, etc. As a psychopath, he is able to feign empathy, though even Canadians in ON and QU are finally realizing what a psychopath he is.

The Brits in the House of Commons always refer to their political opponent as “my right honorable friend”. Presumably while gritting their teeth.
