“The term is also associated with the Bluenose, a famous fishing and racing schooner built in 1921 in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. The Bluenose was a celebrated racing ship and fishing vessel, and under the command of Angus Walters, it became a provincial icon for Nova Scotia and an important Canadian symbol in the 1930s. The ship served as a working vessel until it was wrecked in 1946.”

Is this reference appropriate to your situation?

Inquiring peeps need to know...

You bet its appropriate. I live on 100 acres in Blue Nose country and have likely spent more of those dimes than you have, and have walked in the deck of Bluenose II, but not the plank, yet!.

Tell your blue noser that I live in fiddlehead country.
