The police in New York City are doing their job. The police want to protect innocent people from violent criminals. My criticism here is not aimed at the police.
But the judges and district attorneys are not doing their job.
Here is my hypothesis: The people who run New York City want violent serial criminals to hurt as many people as possible.
If I’m wrong, then please offer a better explanation for why they keep releasing the same violent serial criminals again and again and again and again and again.
Here are multiple examples of the leaders of New York City allowing violent serial criminals to hurt as many people as they want:
This report from NBC News is about the “knockout game.” Men are running around hitting women (total strangers) in the head.
NBC says that the judges and district attorneys keep releasing the same violent serial criminals again and again, so they can keep hurting as many women as they want.
The judges and district attorneys want these women to get hurt. That’s the only possible explanation for why they they keep releasing the same violent criminals again and again, and allow them to hurt as many women as they want.

The police were called 143 times since last year, but the city is allowing the drug dealers to do whatever they want.
Mayor Eric Adams visited the Burger King recently, and he brought a large group of police officers with him, because he knew how dangerous it would be.
But no one was arrested.
Adams gets police protection, while regular citizens get no protection.

The courts have become the enemy of the people. Plain and simple.
It’s how communism gets established. Create enough chaos and violence that people are willing to bargain their freedom away to have safety. The politicians, who can promise safety withhold acting on their duty until we give up control to the level the politician demands.
The courts have become easily paid off, blackmailed, and physically threatened.
Once you have eliminated all else, no other explanation makes sense. It is a deliberate, grotesque and evil assault.

They might not be doing that as much as you think. The New York machine is just that efficient.
Everything happens for a reason. Failing to stop something when it’s in your power to do so is the same as allowing it to continue.

Democrats went all knee-jerk in reacting to the George Floyd death by supporting BLM, "Defund the Police" and cashless bail as a way of showing solidarity with the African-American community. Now that they are seeing the results (rampant looting, public assaults, carjacking, subway attacks, police shootings, etc.) they are stuck, especially in an election year.
Democrats cannot admit to have made a mistake. They cannot be seen as "giving in" to President Trump or Republican policies for fear of Republicans running ads against Congressional, state, and city opponents that Republicans were right about crime and Democrats are soft on crime.
tl;dr: Democrats have made their bed and now they are going to sleep in it -- no matter what. To do anything else would be to show weakness.

I will point to what happened in Kenosha. Months of rioting. Innocent people killed, including children. Millions dollars in businesses destroyed never to return. This was all happening to the community that they were purporting to be rioting in favor of.
But according to the liberals this was a "summer of love".
But the moment three white felons, one who had been shouting actual racist slurs got shot they trampled each other in their race to the microphone to cry that the violence must stop.
But why?
If this was actually about race then they would have been upset about the murder of David Dorn, an elderly black man, but they were not. Because he was a law abiding citizen.
They were worried about the shooting of three of their violent felon shock troops, one who had just been released from detention just in time to riot.
Currently Venezuela is emptying their prisons and insane asylums on our shores. If this sounds familiar may I remind you of the "Mariel Boatlift"?
The plan is flood the country with violent criminals. The next step is to punish any citizen who resists these criminals. The following step is to decry the rise in violence and that they must disarm the population and have stricter laws (that will be enforced selectively of course). It worked in Italy. It worked in Germany. No reason why it can not work here.

IMHO, they want to tank property values so that well connected people can buy up the property cheaply. Once that’s done, they’ll crack down on crime, people come back, and the well connected now have doubled, or tripled their net worth. (And if they’re not the politicians themself, they’ll make significant “donations” to them).
