Don’t cry for Argentina! Their leaders did this to them.

Argetina’s inflation rate just hit 102.5% as their M2 Money printing hit 80%

A cautionary tale for Washington DC spendacrats and Fed officials.

Brought to the same country that gave us Statist Juan Peron and his wife Eva.

Did they brag that it is a lower rate than the 3,079% achieved in 1989?

Argentina seems to do this every 20 years or so.

Argentina is the only country I have been to that has to try really hard to be poor.

And yet, they succeed.

“Brought to the same country that gave us Statist Juan Peron and his wife Eva.”

Don’t forget Jorge Bergoglio who’s doing for the Catholic Church what the Perons did for Argentina.

They were a great example of a liberal (classic liberal) country about 100 years ago. Wealth attracts parasites and they rotted the country a lot faster than the United States.

Argentina is like a laboratory experiment. Every time the country behaves like a normal country, Argentina becomes remarkably rich. They have done this quite a few times.

But they always seem to get the urge to go socialist and create a worker’s paradise. Then they become poor, with massive inflation, and suffering workers. They have done this quite a few times.

They never seem to learn the lesson: socialism always fails.

Yeah, just one shell and governments lose their nerve, kapow, die
They stumble and fall, bye bye
Backs to the wall, aim high
We’re having a ball
That’s how we get the government we deserve

Juan Peron would be to the right of most congressional Republicans these days.

Argentina does inflation as a matter of course. The country has been bankrupt more than a couple of times. How it happens that banks and nations continue to lend money to that country is a puzzle.

Socialism doesn’t fail for one class of people, the politically connected wealthy who profit from inflation and other forms of corruption.
