A Rottweiler is being praised in South Africa for protecting its owner from a deadly black mamba snake slithering under the couch in their house. The unnamed owner, living in Queensburgh, a town in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, became concerned last week when his loyal friend suddenly started pushing him away from the couch that he used to sit on every afternoon

Promoting personal blogs on FreeRepublic is generally frowned upon.
But I have noticed it is more acceptable if your blog is mostly cutesy little dog videos, as there is no shortage of nutters here who get off on that.
Apparently humblegunner has been reincarnated since his recent ban. He has been reborn as “Repeal the 17th”.
You even speak in his language to the point it is a bit eerie.

Knew I was missing some acerbic verbiage. Just didn’t know the reason why.
Rotties are very smart and protective. My daughter had one that someone dumped out in the country near her house. Rottie was the 4th dog in her family and it made sure that all humans and dogs were safe from everything every day.
Yes. I believe he was banned in mid-January. Or at least I read something a few weeks ago that indicated he was, although I cannot recall the exact reasoning.
I hope he has been banned. He was extremely aggravating. He once complained about an article posted from Legal Insurrection complaining it was a personal “blog”. LOL. And, he did the same once for the Media Research Center (aka Newbusters). Both sites which have been around for decades and probably have more followers than FR.
Newsbusters calls out leftist media hypocrisy, and if you recall Andrew Branco from Legal Insurrection has walked Freepers through several high-profile criminal trials and their site was the go-to place for updates on the Zimmerman trial several years ago.
Humblegunner was a boil on the butt of this site and he shouldn’t be allowed to return.
The last thread he posted on shows no extraordinary rudeness or indication of banning. I’ve always taken him with a grain of salt. I think he enjoys his rep, and goes about it with tongue firmly in cheek. I hope he’s OK
