Rush called them Seminar Callers.

They have talking points they think will cause visceral reactions.

In lieu of logic, reason or argument.

In some cases it’s also antisemitic name calling by cowards.

From Encyclopedia Britannica, on the intellectual history of the neocon movement coming from disillusioned Communists

https://www.britannica.com/topic/neoconservatism

Intellectual influences

Among their intellectual ancestors neoconservatives count the ancient Greek historian Thucydides for his unblinking realism in military matters and his skepticism toward democracy, as well as Alexis de Tocqueville, the French author of Democracy in America (1835–40), who described and analyzed both the bright and the bad sides of democracy in the United States. More recent influences include the German-born American political philosopher Leo Strauss and several of his students, such as Allan Bloom; Bloom’s student Francis Fukuyama; and a small band of intellectuals who in their youth were anti-Stalinist communists (specifically Trotskyites) before becoming liberals disillusioned with liberalism. The latter include Irving Kristol, Nathan Glazer, and Norman Podhoretz, among others.

Neocons are those who were once Democrat supporters, but joined the Republican party because their party no longer supported U.S. intervention in foreign escapades, at least not overtly. But the Republican party did. Until Trump won, then they all retreated back to supporting Democrats. The poster child for a neocon would be William Kristol:

I'll point you to an example:

John Bolton on Regime Change

Think of those who morphed striking Al Queda in their hiding place in Afghanistan into a near 20 year nation building exercise. Or the loyal opposition who went along with Obama's sponsorship of ISIS in the middle east, obstensively to depose Assad, the latter which Trump dismantled pretty quickly.

Other person examples: John McCain, Bill Krystal, Lindsey Graham....

It’s the Trotsky branch of the American communist party. They moved from the democrats party to the republicans. They are personified by Bill Krystal. They couldn’t care less about anything social conservatives and in fact, are generally hostile to social conservatism. They are globalist, and place global cooperation and interest above anything American. They wrap themselves in the American flag and pretend to be conservative. Traditional conservatives often align with them out of ignorance, because neocons have a fetish for the military. Neocons love shooting missiles at people, bombing places, and having marines hit the beach. Some more simple minded conservatives automatically and reflexively support them. But they never notice that they support every revolutionary socialist idea for Americans at home. Neocons couldn’t care less about homosexuality in the schools, drag queen story hour, national health care, the prescription drug plan from George Bush, massive corporate welfare and bank bail outs, and a centrally planned economy. Essentially they are Trotsky communist, masquerading as American conservatives. That’s what a neocon actually is.

Firstly, why connect the term NECON with anything Putin at all?

IMO, it is a more basic term unassociated with actual world leaders. Warmongers, monger, political schemers scheme. The MIC SELLS weapons. Politicians can be and are influenced by it every minute of the day whether it is for future enrichment later or potential political influence today.

The neocons were Jewish Democrats who declared as “conservative republicans” in the last half of the 20th Century.

In practical political terms, a "neo-con" is someone who pushes for U.S. military intervention all over the globe, while pushing for open borders here in the U.S.

In short, a "neo-con" is a duplicitous, un-American @sshole.

This is real easy. They espouse conservative values but believe in none. They speak them to get elected but vote for no conservative positions once elected. They are military-indutrial advocates who pretend to be conservatives to fool the stooges to get them to vote for them but are only for forever war using the blood of conservative patriot children and US Treasure to further their agenda. They HATE real conservatives, and use them as rubes to further their agenda.

Old school democrats that came onboard during and after the Reagan Admin., you know the big tent types. They are still warmongering democrats that wear a little ‘r’ jersey. They are still saddled with many of their leftist traits like lying at the drop of a hat (for one). Go to any Uke/Russia war thread and they are the ones that demand war at any cost, and like Zelensky they demand the use of nukes on Russia. Just like Hillary/Biden/WEF/Soros etc.., they have a natural hate for Russia. They have no reverse gear. They all speak with one tongue. They are a miserable minority opinion with really fat mouths who think they are legion. They are the most ignorant to world events that I have ever run across. Their Grand Parents were democrats. Their parents were democrats. They are democrats. I hope that helps narrow it down a little.

"Neocon" is a word that has changed over time. It has some continuity because in at least three cases, today's neocons are the children of the original neocons (Kristol, Podhoretz, Kagan).

In the 1960s and 1970s, neoconservatives or neocons were people who had been liberals or on the left who were critical of the effects of Lyndon Johnson's Great Society programs and the New Left. They were concerned with domestic, rather than foreign policy.

In the 1980s, neocon came to mean something like Cold Warrior, someone who supported Ronald Reagan's policy of taking a hardline with the Soviets. Some of the neocons actually thought that Reagan was too soft on the USSR.

By the early '90s the Cold War was over and Bill Clinton was making "moderate" New Democrat noises. Some of the original neocons had earlier rejoined the Democrats or joined them now. Others became Republicans. It was unclear at that point what would become of neoconservatism.

By the end of the decade neoconservatism became associated with the Project for a New American Century, and the dream of a powerful America democratizing the world. Neoconservatism wasn't associated with domestic policy anymore as it had been in the beginning.

In the Bush-Cheney years, neocons were riding high, but when their dreams didn't come true, they were disgraced. Today's neocons are pushing the powerful America "democratizing" the world dream again. This time against Russia. Neocon seems to mean interventionist or war hawk.

Generally speaking, they are anti-Trump or NeverTrump. Some may qualify as globalist. Others are too focused on American power to be wholeheartedly globalist, but they are closer to Biden than to Trump.

Additional definition:

They want to make the world safe for:

—Perverts

—Kleptocrats

and they call it “democracy”.
