Despite all the talk about disney, Hollywood, media, war, biden, putin, Rihanna, slapping, masking etc

Maybe we can have some fun today

What is the worst movie you ever watched?

I can agree some movies are so bad that they are funny, certainly you can include those too.

I remember the first time I saw The Rocky Horror Picture Show sober, and I thought, “This movie sucks!”

Years ago my wife and I watched Citizen Kane after hearing about how famous it was. We didn’t like it. Reading later I see that we weren’t smart enough to recognize it as “art”.

As a young teen I remember watching “Missouri Breaks” with Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. What a GREAT MOVIE!!

It came on TV several years ago and I set the DVD and was excited to watch my favorite movie again after all these years.

I made it about 10 minutes in, and then started forwarding to what might look like good parts. There weren’t any!

Event Horizon

I have to admit to this movie being a movie that I watch and enjoy; but, I have to agree that it is a horrible movie. I can't really explain why I like it. Great cast, though.

Heaven’s Gate takes a little endurance.

Ya gotta have 4 hours on your hands that you don’t care if you get back.

BUT, I have watched it at least 4 times. I like it.

Kris Kristofferson as Averill
Christopher Walken
John Hurt
Sam Waterston
Brad Dourif
Isabelle Huppert
Joseph Cotten
Jeff Bridges
Geoffrey Lewis
Paul Koslo
Richard Masur

AND Terry O’Quinn, Willem Defoe, Mickey Rourke

You reminded me about “Noah”, with Russell Crowe as being one of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Worst movie ever made in the history of movies is a little ditty called The Telephone starring Whoopie Goldberg . I got suckered into wanting to watch this because I had learned that the theme song called Happy Endings was performed by the Beach Boys with Little Richard. The song had the potential to be great, however like the movie there was no happy ending. Dreadful movie and the song is almost as bad.

Quest For Fire is a GREAT movie! You should have stayed.

I’ll admit that after a few minutes I realized that there was no dialog! Just grunts and such. But after awhile I completely forgot about it as it was totally unnecessary.

The concept of the movie was genius. The portrayal of early man was very believable.

Heroes and villains. A love story. Hilariously funny at times. Superb acting, remember no dialogue.

Different, but one of the BEST movies of all time! Unique.

Not for everybody.

“The original BREATHLESS.”

Not familiar with the “original”, but the 1983 Breathless with Richard Geer is one of my all time favorite movies. I must have watched it 10-15 times.

“Eldorado!”

The one good takeaway from “The Gods Must Be Crazy” was a line from the African auto mechanic traveling with one of the protagonists. The beat-up Land Rover they’re traveling in is such a piece of junk that he never refers to it as anything but “Anti-Christ” as in “Before we get going, I have to change the oil in Anti-Christ…” Since then, every bomber I ever owned was christened with the same name, especially the $100,000 Type A motor home we purchased brand new to spend several years touring the country after we both retired. It lasted only three months before literally falling apart on a hilltop in South Dakota just east of Wall Drugs.

THE DUNWICH HORROR(1970) A great H.P. Lovecraft tale ruined and made dull.

For another totally worthless "horror" movie do not watch Wolfen. The whole movie is terrible while the book is pretty darned good.

The biggest problem is the movie wolves are just real wolves whereas in the book they are a terrible visage. Everybody I know, including my wife, who read the book and watch the movie agrees the werewolf at the end of American Werewolf in London was what they envisioned the Wolfen to be.

I love John Wayne movies - and have watched more of his than anyone’s.

Having said that, yes, that is certainly a worthy candidate for most unworthy.

I also found the Duke’s “Surely this was the Son of God” - spoken with his habitual drawl - embarrassing in The Greatest Story Ever Told.

Anyone remember a piece of dreck titled “FUTZ”?(1969)

Siskel and Ebert both said it was the worst movie they ever saw.
