CNN has “talent”?, who knew.
If the new owners are listening, this is what you need to do to actually fix CNN:
—Fire everyone who manages or works there now who is not a janitor or camera crews. Everyone. No exceptions. Pay out the balance of their contracts and physically remove them from the premises. Now. Terminate all contracts with “talent” or “experts”. Notify them they will never be on the air again.
—Warn any new hires that the first time they try to give their opinion or the editors opinion on any political topic they are fired on the spot.
That is all they have to do.

But have had a change of heart
and will stop lying about, well, everything
and will NOW be honest news ?

CNN was great their first year. There is no way they will drop the Leftist bias. No way. They may go back to “news” but it will all be Left-wing news. there is no saving them.
I do HATE the tabloid formats today of CNN, Fox and all the others. 1 minute to introduce a “news” story followed by 10 minutes of a panel of talking heads telling us what we should believe it means.
The news used to be “just the facts”. Who, what, when, where and why. Viewers then decided for themselves their own meaning to assign to the facts.
CNN and Fox and the others are basically radio programs today. A host interviewing guests. They don’t cover the news at all. One America News Network was the only organization that actually produced TV news stories. But i haven’t seen them since canceling cable, so I have no clue if they still do “news” or if they have gone tabloid talking head panel like everybody else.
Maybe they could go back to talking about airplanes getting swallowed up by black holes. Can I still say that??
With CNN playing in virtually every airport and on multiple screens, it would seem they have a guaranteed audience. Their airport gigs seem to be a sweet deal. Monopolies suck!!

So they’re going to return to reporting death, destruction, famine, pestilence, and the Hollywood Minute?
Well why not!
Anything else they’ve proven to be a pretentious biased flop!
Then they’ll being going back to their core skill. Something they were actually marginal at (and biased!) but looked effective because they were the first.

Why should anyone believe they will act like a credible and unbiased news outlet. In terms of marketing to a wider audience (i.e. anything west of center)’ it is too late. The brand is tarnished, there’s a history of bias and hatred that can’t be overcome. Best move is a complete reboot under an entirely new brand with reporting that focuses on unbiased and verifiable fact. Another words, there’s no chance in hell it would happen.
Leftists are effective at redefining words. Call it news, it will still be the same misinformation and lies. Yahoo News calls itself news, but look at the leftwing crap it spews.
We have no news channels in this country any longer, only opinion channels. I would applaud anyone who would try to put up an unbiased, straightforward news operation.

Turner is still alive but I don’t know how much he controls of CNN anymore.
I don’t know if they will try it either. It’s like MTV saying that they’re going to get back to showing videos like they used to do. They bring it up every few years but nothing ever happens with that.
