“Just the facts” is totally doable.
It just needs employees who know they will be fired on the spot if they start spouting opinions—and managers determined to make it stick—and of course zero “opinion” programs or debates.
The other tweak is no cheating by quoting other left-wing media sources or left-wing “experts”. That is just opinion in disguise.
In addition—no interviews where other people give their opinions.
No opinions—no “he said”, “she said”.
No “reliable sources say”.
Just simple facts.
This is what happened today. If you want opinions on this go on-line and gorge on the opinion-fest.
Period.
Like Gayle king saying on CBS Mornings that "some" think Kyle was faking his panic attack. A sneaky was for Gayle to insert HER opinion. She is sickening.
I actually have no problem with the “opinion programs” as long as they are identified as such. I then can choose to watch or not ! Mostly not ! But some will and that’s their choice. However I doubt if there will be enough “fans” to sustain a program.

As far as CNN changing, I believe it when I see it. They would need to get rid of 80% of their on-air “talent”. Cuomo, Alison Cammorta, Don Lemon, Stelter. Bring back Crossfire and bring on a few conservative hosts. But then what are you? A watered-down FoxNews. 24-hour news, you have to fill up the other 23 hours a day with bimbos in heels like Fox or Lesbians like Maddow on MSNBC. With Millenials, TV news is a dinosaur and Gen Zer who are in college now, oh please.
Yep, they get their "news" from programs like Colbert believe it or not. Which is why I'm pleased FOX is running Gutfeld!

My problem with the “opinion programs” is that they seem to bleed over into news—and they get particularly obnoxious during “major events”.
There is plenty of opinion on the Internet—there is just nothing good about having it on a real news channel.
The problem's CNN is stuck on stupid.
MSNBC specializes in hiring private school mediocre grandchildren of powerful 'elites'. Yuck. Which is bad enough - attitude masquerading as intelligence... But it's better than CNN's choice to specializes in flat out 'stupid' with a touch of lazy...
CNN's one exception is Smerconish... they should keep his Saturday show.
If CNN hires half conservative news gathers and half liberal - they'll have a chance. But if they choose to pretend 'all liberal journalists' can be objective - they'll go under.
You can be caught masturbating on a work ZOOM meeting and keep your job a CNN (TOOBIN)... so yea, what credibility do you have?
