I love your double negative. I also note that the Pfizer vaccine was made without government money. So, I guess you are getting a vaccine.
The vaccines were not rushed to market. All of the proper clinical trials were performed. What did help was a lot of the red tape and regulator delays were removed and data was provided to the regulators in real time.

Here’s my plight. I’m scheduled to receive the Pfizer vaccine this Sunday. Everything in me is saying, “Don’t do it!” I’ve had Covid—back over the holidays—haven’t recovered all my strength yet (lots of fatigue). I’m 63, my wife, who is a highly skilled nurse (has worked in Covid units since last March) is encouraging me to take it. I will be seeing my Christian doctor this afternoon (he has already received his dose of the vaccine). Conscience is telling me No! I see more politics than medicine in all things Covid, but people I trust and love who have medical expertise are telling me otherwise. How to proceed?

Nobody, not even your wife or doctor, let alone the government "experts", should force you to do something that your inner self is saying no to. Your old enough and experienced enough to assess your own risk.
It's easy to give advice but it's hard to resist it if you are of a different mind.
My doctor says get the vaccine. My wife is trying to decide for herself but would never pressure me to do anything I didn't want to. She's a retired nurse practitioner.
I'm 73 and prone to chronic upper respiratory breathing problems. I may have already had the covid a year ago Christmas right before the virus hit the news. Had the same symptoms. Thought I had pneumonia but the doctors in the hospital weren't certain. It was viral but they hadn't seen it before. In hindsight, I may have had the covid and didn't know it yet. Recovered at home on my own in about a month but the fatigue has lingered too. But them I'm getting older. Hard to separate getting old with having ailments sometimes.
I'm no getting the vaccine. I'll stand on the sidelines for now and wait and see. Too many variables and unseen long-term side effects yet for me to feel comfortable in taking a shot that was rushed to market by the government, no less.

I probably had COVID-19. I am reluctant to take any of the vaccines - they *are* experiments.
I began to research the bug and found the following. Some of which, are instructive videos by Mobeen Syed, MD.
He does a good job of explaining the various mechanisms of the bug, the cells, treatments, and vaccines.
In short, last I checked (early Feb. 2021) - his view is, that if you have had COVID-19, you do NOT need a vaccine. But he does not forcefully discourage your taking the vaccine.

Haven't had a flu shot since I left the military in the early 70s when they required it. I'm still standing and doing fine.
My approach is don't try and fix something that ain't broke yet. Causes it's own problems. The survivability rate is 99.8% even for those who contract the disease.
The more people try to convince me to get the vaccine, the less inclined I am to do so. I'm seasoned enough to assess my own risk.

The feeling of this all being one huge experiment is really overwhelming my thought process. Throughout, Trump was called this the China virus. Is Covid one big push to China-ize our country? Saw a video (actually several) about the closing down of lots of prime real estate in Los Angeles (and I assume I can find similar things taking place all across America). With Biden opening us up more and more to all things China, this could well be just a way of “priming” citizens for what’s to come (we hear the talk of Covid passports - good-bye freedom). Or is there some long-term consequence of the vaccines will kick in and...

He has the intel, he knows China unleashes this on the world. He cannot give up sources and methods but he hasn't exactly been coy when he says he is pissed at them because he knows they did this.

In most states following the current rules, this young relative will/would not qualify for months unless he/she/it is a health care provider.
