Is Mike Pence for President in 2024 Still a Go?
National Interest ^ | 1/13/2021 | Rachel Bucchino

After an uproarious attack on the U.S. Capitol last week, Vice President Mike Pence split from his commander-in-chief and quickly condemned the mob-like behavior from pro-Trump supporters—leadership that was tested as President Donald Trump initially hesitated to act.

Pence has exercised “unflinching loyalty” towards Trump up until this point, as the president blasted Pence’s constitutional duty in certifying the electoral college results. Trump and his close allies attempted to push his political partner to reject the vote based on baseless claims of voter fraud, but Pence firmly denied the request and proceeded with his authority over the Senate—a job that was abruptly disrupted with dangerous protestors on Wednesday.

The vice president is reportedly “very upset” that Trump didn’t exert more effort in squashing the torpedo that rumbled the Capitol, a source told NBC News, since some protestors voiced support for Pence’s execution.

Trump is President, not VP.

No doubt the 2024 winner has already been chosen. We will not see another honest election again.

Nope. Pence is done.

He is not a supporter of the populist movement.Pence supports the gentrified wing of the GOP that thinks t can win elections without Trump supporters, who would rather kill the GOP than have it controlled by a big tent populist movement.

The GOP gentry have fed at the pork troughs far too long. And they will lose their fight with the populist Republicans who now realize they must move the GOP elite out of their control of the GOP.

It will happen.

Not only is Pence done, so is Mitch McConnell for his conduct concerning the stimulus and section 230 amendments requested by the resident.Mitch’s conduct cost the GOP Georgia.Mitch, not Trump, did that.

Every GOP member of Congress who turned on the President will be done. It may take a few years but the People who supported Trump will never forget what these quislings have done.

2024 will be President Trump, or someone he backs.

Pence’s political career ends on January 20th. I believe he has said this himself, but that was really just a case of belaboring the obvious. No matter what happened over the last three months, he’s simply not the type of guy who would ever be elected president.

Nope.

Maybe I’m crazy but I keep getting intuition flashes about Pompeo as either Pres or VP. Its been happening for about a week now.

Puck Fence...

Had a chance to literally MAKE HISTORY. To end up in the history books forever instead of some day penning “Memoirs of a Milquetoast”.

He chose to punt. He can retire and just disappear into obscurity.

She only endorsed Thune because people were latching onto Trump's attacks and calling on her to run against him.

The whole charade was silly. No effective governor in her right mind would want to join a bucket full of losers like the U.S. Senate.

In a slight devils-advocate defense of Pence, I believe I heard that just prior to 1/6, the prior entity that forwards the sealed elector envelopes to Congress for Pence to “count”, yanked the legal solely-Legislature-submitted electors, and only submitted the illegal governor/SOS “certified” electors. Thus, Pence would have had absolutely no, none, opportunity to continue with a legal ratification.

That said, hard to imagine Pence on the scene or getting any traction in 2024.

Pence has the best chance of winning! He was complicit in the election fraud of the 2020 election and is obviously known to 'play ball.' DiSantis/Noem has about as much chance in winning as a snowball has in hell. The voting machines that were used in 2020 will certainly be used in 2024 since they performed so well! wink-wink

Same sentiment here. Although, I’ve been pointing out for literally DECADES that the system is rigged.

You don’t think Minnesotan’s actually voted FOR Mondale/Ferraro do you? Al Franken? Dayton? Walz?

We were the test bed for widespread fraud.
