I had a great history teacher in high school and his "pet peeve" was saying that Latin is a "dead language".
After all scientists use latin all the time as do lawyers and doctors not to mention the church. How can it be said to be dead when portions of it are still in use everyday?
He would launch into an instructive talk about the latin language from time to time. Alas, that is my limited lessons in latin. He was a very smart man and very interesting as well.
I should've learned more had I not been so interested in the "girls" back then. lol
“I come not to praise, but, well, that’s pretty much it. They’ve buried themselves.”

FIAT is just an acronym for “Fix it again, Tony!”
I owned a Fiat X1/9.
I was under it more than in it.......................
Et Tu Brute?
Beat me to it
