I have had reoccurring vertigo for 30 plus years. I went for testing etc. Doctors tell you it is in your ears. It may be for some, but not all. Medicines did not help. It would get better and then return.
What most people dont know, is that a very common source is the muscles in your neck being tense. They are attatched to your spine. This is what was wrong with me. I went to a chiropractor where he loosened up the tension in my neck. Immediate relief. I go back every three months to keep it loose. What I do is automatically tense up my neck without realizing it.
My son went in for heart surgery this past spring and vertigo hit. Anxiety creates tension. What I did in this case, is something else you can do. There are neck stretches that work so well. They work quickly.

Vertigo is horrible. I found a cure for mine.
Vertigo is a nasty thing. I will keep Joe and Genni in my daily prayers. I hope his hernia surgery goes well. I had surgery back in 2012 to repair an incisional hernia. Two years ago they told me I have a second one, and I’ve been trying to ignore it, but recent discomfort is sending me back to the surgeon’s office today.

Vertigo can usually be ear related, but good that he is being checked tomorrow —— since the vertigo is lasting so long. Please keep us posted. Prayers on the way.
Agree on the Meclizine which you can buy over the counter. I have vertigo and take 1 day with no issues.

Prayers for your friends. One day in February with no warning I woke up with severe vertigo. I could not walk straight without assistance. I could barely manage getting out of bed. I was taken to the hospital and diagnosed with Afib. The Afib resolved itself before I was out of the emergency room but the dizziness remained. No one could tell me why. They ran a bunch of tests and everything was normal. I was sent home the next day. With medication I was able to get around but was still pretty dizzy. For weeks I was unable to do many of the things I enjoy and could not even go for a walk. I was checked out by an ophthalmologist who determined it was not an inner ear problem. He performed the Epley Maneuver which unexpectedly seemed to help a bit. I started worrying that I might never get back to normal. Fortunately over time I began to notice slow improvement and after about 3 months the dizziness was gone. Tell your friend to hang in there and not lose hope.

After my neck fusion surgery, while still in the collar, I had two episodes of vertigo that each lasted a week. Even with the mec. Haven’t had an episode in quite a while but I have a bottle of mec in the med locker just in case.
It worked very quickly for both my wife and myself.
No MD but have been diagnosed with BPV (Benign Positional Vertigo). Physical therapy cleared it up but it can return. Ear crystals, inner ear infection etc. can cause. I notice that “hearing and balance” franchises are starting to pop up to assist people having these issues.
Genni has asked me to express their deep gratitude for your prayers and loving concern.
Praying, the same thing happened to me a few years ago...wound up in hospital, but it passed after several hours. Horrible feeling. Usually inner ear problem. I am praying.
