Get Woke, Go Broke: BLMFL Ratings Continue Sprint to Rock Bottom
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Monday Night Football’s opening weekend double-header continued the BLMFL’s “get woke, go broke” sprint for the bottom in the television ratings. After the Sunday Night Football marquis matchup between the LA Rams and the TV magnet Dallas Cowboys tanked 16.1% below the ratings for the 2019 SNF opener, the MNF double headers performed even worse.

After collapsing by about 18% during the 2016/2017 seasons following the advent of Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem kneeling antics, the league had regained about half of that loss over the past two seasons. The dismal performance of this weekend’s opening games shows that all of the genuflecting the league is doing towards the openly-Marxist terrorist group BLM has put it back on its downward track.

From a story at Sportsnaut.com:

Two Former Army Officers Telegraph the Democrat Plan for Post-Election Chaos VDO.AI According to ShowBuzz Daily, the doubleader on Monday night represented a major downtick in viewership from the same time slots a season ago.

Steelers at Giants: This game drew 10.8 million viewers on ESPN, down 21% from the early-game opener during Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season Titans at Broncos: Drew 7.7 million viewers, down a whopping 38% from the late game last year. These are just some startling numbers right here. They are also a continuation of a trend around the NFL world thus far on the young season.

This comes after the “Sunday Night Football” matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and Rams in Los Angeles saw a drop of 16.1% from last season’s opener. America’s Team being unable to draw 15 million viewers during a global pandemic in which people are at home more often than in the past can’t be seen as great news for the NFL.

The “Monday Night Football” doubleheader is also interesting in that it included one of the two teams in the nation’s largest media market (New York Giants) opening things up against another big media market team in that of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

[End]

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of people.

That is all.

Their ratings aren’t falling nearly enough. How is anyone still worshipping these thugs?

A 15 to 20 percent reduction in demand is not a bad start.

All of the bars and many restaurants show the games

I guess we do have to look at it in light of the lockdown. People are starved for entertainment, and the ratings are still falling.

Being liberals they will probably demand legislation that has the govt pick up the losses. Or maybe force people to watch. You have to report your NFL viewing to your newly appointed block warden.

I’m surprised how many are watching. I thought they’d be down a minimum of 50%
1% viewership is too high

Good question. Maybe that creates a hard limit on how far down it can go. I would have thought that restaurant and bar restrictions would have cut into that. Not sure how they calculate the ratings.

Why run an article about NFL ratings tanking and then run two NFL merchandise ads on your webpage?

After the Sunday Night Football marquis matchup

Should be marquee match up unless it involved European nobility.

I wonder where the reduction of fan support (TV viewership, revenue from shirts, etc. & fans in stadium sets) translates to losing money. I imagine the long term Tv contracts can keep them in the green for quite awhile. I am sure that their plan is to ride this out until its the “old news” - ‘wokeness’ becomes boring to the players. It’s the new normal fades into the background noise and the fans will get over their pique and will be back.

Nazi Germany had a state-approved radio which only broadcast state-approved programming (to keep people from tuning in to enemy broadcasts)- we have tvs which have 500 channels of the same thing.

I’m not sure if those ratings are even reliable anymore.

Seems to me that there would be a lot of parties interested in cooking the numbers.

Add to this the fact people are finding out with free weekends what they can do that’s actually productive, including church, exercise, time with friends and family.

Do people really want to vote with their hard-earned $$$ to support communists and thugs?

College sports are also going to tank as teams go ‘on strike’ until one demand after another is met.

The weak link in American sports was easy to manipulate athletes. But the Left wants to destroy sports and everything that is American. So, they view all this as a win/win.

CNN is probably worried that NFL games will be showed in airports, taking away half their audience. LOL
