A video circulating on Twitter and YouTube shows a pair of Clackamas County sheriff’s deputies engaging with a member of the public and telling them anti-fascist activists have been starting fires in the area. The deputy’s remarks seemed to give credence to the idea that anti-fascists were causing havoc and possibly setting fires, the rumors strenuously debunked by law enforcement. The sheriff’s office has confirmed the basics of the video, and the as-yet-unnamed deputy has been placed on leave.
Statements made by the deputy in the video contradict the official line from Clackamas County Sheriff Craig Roberts, which he has expressed on social media and in press conferences over the past 48 hours, stating there is no evidence that “Antifa” or any other groups have organized arson strikes in rural areas of Clackamas County.
“Antifa” is a term for some loosely affiliated left-wing activists who sometimes identify themselves as “anti-fascist.” “Antifa motherf*****s are out here causing hell,” the deputy can be heard saying in the clip filmed on Thursday. “There’s a lot of lives at stake and there’s a lot of people’s property at stake because these guys got some vendetta.” Video below:

The same deputy was caught in another video where he “taught” people that after they shoot Antifa members they should place a knife in their hand and with it they can get away the charges for murder.

“The Sheriff’s Office mission is to provide calm and safety especially during unprecedented times such as these,” he added. “I expect nothing less of our deputies, and apologies to all in our community.”

The piece says that the Sheriff was placed on leave. Then it says that the Deputy was placed on leave. ...both of them?
There is plenty wrong with the Antifa folks. A law enforcement officer should never advocate falsifying a crime scene. We’ll see if he was actually doing so, vs the description.

I don’t see a problem with it. Consider you have elected officials who have assumed offices of authority under false and misleading pretenses, and have willfully violated their Constitutional oaths.
Well I wonder if one can at least shoot to maime if they try to put a torch to brush after you have told them to stop. A fire can go up quickly depending on conditions and can put many lives at risk. I wouldn’t lie at all, though. If one can stop thousands of acres of destruction and save lives in the process shooting someone about to put a field to flame might be justified!(if they don’t stop when you ask them).
They both should be disciplined for providing incomplete information to the public to address the issue.
They should have said “...Antifa AND Black Lives Matter...”

There is no reason to doubt the deputy. If I hadn’t seen a family friend’s security video of someone setting their property on fire, I still would believe it! BLM/Antifa have been setting controlled fires in Portland within Multnomah county for over 100 days. No fire heading towards their homes! Multnomah County is unscathed by the wildfires. They will be getting their mail in ballots & probably the ballots of the burned out rural towns & cities around the state as well.
They are not anti-fascist, they are simply anarchists and should be treated as such. If I find myself amongst them and threatened I will shoot my way out. Fair warning.

Not that simple...a local Seattle news reporter who had been reporting on the May day demonstrations since 2012 or so says it's an unholy mix of antifa, anarchists, and black bloc groups(black in this instance refers to clothing not race). Antifa & anarchists have anti-capitalism in common.
