Last night actor and activist Terry Crews was on a local access channel Don Lemon’s show on CNN. The subject was a tweet sent by Crews on June 30

What a novel concept: grace, a celebration of our shared humanity, an echo of St. Paul (Galatians 3:28), an expression of the American ideal.
But that isn’t the reception he received in social media where a movement focused on police brutality has morphed into a race grievance industry grift that is overtly hostile to our form of government.
Lemon, while not as aggressive as he’s been known to be, was certainly not in the mood to let Crews make his case. Crews was repeatedly interrupted and towards the end Lemon hectored him about what he should believe.
Lemon directly says that Black Lives Matter does not have an all encompassing goal of protecting black lives. Rather it only cares about black lives that are politically advantageous. He tells Crews that if he wants to be interested in the epidemic of black-on-black violence he needs to start his own organization.

People tell pollsters that they support BLM because they think that BLM is about BLs, but here CNN admits it’s not.

“Black people wanting to work with other races are being views as sellouts, they’re being called Uncle Toms, you start to understand you’re actually being controlled.”
Secondarily, he’s a rare Black man that wants the Black community to discuss and address Black on Black violence. He sees it equally problematic and contributing to the greater problem that must be addressed. He of course takes a lot of heat for speaking truth to those who need to hear it.

When BLM says, “Slavery was/is evil,” aren’t they, then saying that Mohammad who practiced it and approved of slavery was evil? That sounds like hate speech to me.
“Black Lives Matter” isn’t a sentence or a proposition to discuss. It is, in that charming leftist phrase, a “dog whistle”.

Mr. Crews is a nice person. I hope he sees that Don Lemon didn’t want to understand his point of view.
Mr. Lemon isn’t an objective journalist. He is an activist on TV. He invited Terry on his show to argue with him and then cut him off.
