The pancake syrup brand Mrs. Butterworths known for its matronly woman-shaped bottle will undergo a complete brand and packaging review, a spokesperson for Conagra Brands said Wednesday. The development comes after parent companies for Aunt Jemima and Uncle Bens announced that the two product lines will see branding changes of their own.
We understand that our actions help play an important role in eliminating racial bias and as a result, we have begun a complete brand and packaging review on Mrs. Butterworths, Conagra Brands Communications Manager Dan Skinner told Forbes. The company added:
We stand in solidarity with our Black and Brown communities and we can see that our packaging may be interpreted in a way that is wholly inconsistent with our values. Its heartbreaking and unacceptable that racism and racial injustices exist around the world. We will be part of the solution. Lets work together to progress toward change.

In other rebranding news, I bought Land O Lakes butter today, and the image of the Native American woman was gone from the package, leaving just a picture of woods and a lake, a barren landscape. This accurately reflects the depopulation of Native Americans from Minnesota, so the new package is ironically bleak but accurate. The representation of the presence of Native Americans has been cancelled.
Now Blacks will complain that no blacks are represented on labels.
You just can’t win, either way.
Chef Boy-Ar-Dee is Italian. He will NOT put up with being canceled. #DontMessWithItalians
Yep. Land ‘o’ Lakes is a truly American story. They removed the Indian and kept the land.
Hope the leave WD-40 and 409 alone.
Nope.they are NEVER happy, and the TV ads would make one think that the US population is 1/2 black.

Oh God, gag me. Would any American corporation in 2020 say this but with "white"?
If Aunt Jemima were to become Uncle Jemima, and Uncle Ben were to become Auntie Ben, then since Black Trans Lives Matter, could they stay?
They should put her in Black face and call her Mrs Northam.
It seems the goal of the left is to wipe out any traces of the history of blacks.
Instead of displaying them living in traditional African situations, many shows (particularly BBC) displays black people living in England in the 1500’s as lords or knights.
“Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.
George Orwell, 1984”
Shes NOT black!!!
Yes shes in a brown bottle but shes an every grandma caricature.
SJW's will next take on "ageism."
Snap, Crackle and Pop, Manny Moe and Jack and even the CrackerJack kid are victims of corporate exploitation, doncha know?
Anti-corporate campaigns didn't stop with Denny's and Sambo's (neither of which actually offended anyone except in the complainers' overly-sensitive minds).
Of course, much of the advertising/image projection business is controlled by the same types that call themselves journalists. Why should we expect anything different?
The portrait they removed was painted by a Red Lake native. His son was not happy about it.
And homosexual as well.
“status of Chef Boradee?”
Chun king is definitely history.
What about Le Choy chop suey?
No problem with Log Cabin because it is named after a queer group
No amount of re-branding will improve the poor quality of the pancake syrup formerly known as Mrs. Butterworth’s.
