Using technology to find a platonic parenting partner comes at a time when it seems harder than ever to meet anyone the old-fashioned way. As people spend more time building their careers, it can be difficult to forge relationships outside the office, where romance has become verboten. And as the cost of living has increased, it has become harder for many people to consider marriage or children until later in lifeall factors that have resulted in a declining fertility rate in the U.S.
When you meet someone on Match.com or Tinder, you can date someone for six months before you know whether the relationship is going anywhere. Thats fine when youre younger, but when youre in your mid-30s, you cant wait for months to find out that person isnt ready to have kids, said Modamily founder Ivan Fatovic.
And it isnt just single women like Ms. Andersen who are driving the demand for a tech solution to this modern problem.
The alarm clock goes off for men as much as it does for women. Youd be surprised by the number of young, professional straight men who want to have kids, said Patrick Harrison, co-founder of London-based PollenTree, the largest of the subscription-based co-parenting sites. (The service also connects people with egg and sperm donors.)
He said about 60% of the co-parenting seekers are women. The male clientele is evenly split between single gay men and heterosexual men, both seeking to be co-parents with women. There are also same-sex couples looking to have a mother or father figure in their childs life.

The methods of conception vary depending on the co-parents relationship and what they can afford, so they can range from natural conception to in vitro fertilization or intrauterine insemination.

Companies that forbid employee relationships are promoting loneliness. Maybe that makes for worker bees willing to work longer hours, but it's not good overall.
Co-parenting. A euphemism.
A society in which adults can demand what they want when they want it must be indifferent to the misery this causes children.
This is yet another satanic attack on the God established family unit
That's like wanting to have root canals, but not necessarily capped teeth.
Nothing good is going to happen to men who use this site.
But the courts in the US have a hodgepodge or rules about when the sperm donor gets to pay child support.
No thanks.
What could possibly go wrong?
This is part of the reason why I detest people who bash gays while remaining silent on divorce. There are few non-violent things in life that are as devastating to an innocent child as parents divorcing because of their own selfish needs.
Amen.
The best thing parents can do for their children is to love one another.
That’s the most common issue. The never-married births, the artificial conceptions where the child may never know one or both biological parents, the parents who decide they can “change sex,” etc.
No responsibility.
I don’t get this. I got married. I went to school (night classes). Then she went to school ( night classes). Went to community college then State University. I did elec eng she did comp sci. We had kids in the mix. We enjoyed it. It’s a lot of work but doable without borrowing. Grandparents helped with babysitting sometimes. They loved it. Kids love being with grandparents.
All it takes is a little planning and not all that much sacrifice.
I thought that’s what bars are for.

Liberals repeat the lie that half of all marriage end in divorce, so it is safer and freer to never marry. They lie that just living together is as stable as marriage, when in reality, 85% split in 10 years (with kids) whereas 75% of married couples with kids remain married that long.
What could POSSIBLY go WRONG???
DANG!
Remember this from all those years ago? Still blows my mind that people think this way....

Crazy...I guess it will work so I’ll say, if there’s an IPO for any of those services, I’d buy stock in it...Using it, no thanks...
