My young cousin has severe diabetes and her
blood sugar continues to drop dangerously low every night
before bedtime. Her mother is quite frantic.
That I do not know, but I will ask.
Father please place Your healing hand upon this child. Give her parents the strength to carry them while her body heals.
what I do know is that Madison’s blood sugar is always low, if it gets to the 100 - 110 range her mother is amazed, and it never remains that high for any length of time.
Prayers up!

Now I’m not a doctor but her blood sugar is low. It’s easy to get it back in the desired range with say a half a banana before bedtime but I suspect the real problem is she’s being over medicated.
This should be brought up to her doctor and if he/she can’t correct it maybe it’s time to get a second opinion.
Prayers for Madison an her mother and family.
Prayers up. If it is staying low, her meds need to be adjusted. Managing is tricky.
Prayers sent.
the docs have been tweaking her meds for months and according to her mother nothing seems to be working, Madison is not stabilizing.

Thank you!
Don’t worry about it. The title doesn’t matter. You know we will all pray for her. Blessings to her in the name of Jesus for His mercy and healing.
Your request message came through and we will remember this little one in our prayers.
Prayers for Madison and her mom. May the Good Lord provide comfort, peace, and healing.
Is the girl underweight, overweight or normal weight?
Anyway I’d get a second opinion!
A few questions: How long has Madison been diagnosed with diabetes? I am assuming she is Type 1 and on insulin (although more children are now developing Type 2 than in the past...these may or may not be on insulin...but the Type 2s are not typically at the same risk of low blood sugars as the more ‘brittle’ Type 1s.) Have any of her caregivers spoken about using the relatively new Continuous Glucose Monitoring system for an extended period of time to watch her blood sugar patterns all day and night without having to do such frequent testing? (From what I have recently read about this, it is an improvement from prior CGM testing, but endocrinologist and/or certified diabetes educator (CDE) should have current information on this. And finally, depending on how long since the diagnosis, has anyone considered an insulin pump yet? I am retired as an RN CDE and worked with many young people on pumps. Success in children depends a lot on their individual maturity, but a pump can help prevent low blood sugar episodes fairly well, especially after analysis of daily trends,by use of CGM. I hope this helps. I will also pray for Madison, her Mom, and you. It’s tough, but I have seen many, many children (one of them beginning at age five and I was able to follow her through her teens) do very well and come around to living very healthy normal lives. God bless you all.
Praying with you...
