As I posted Sat, after her “testimony” tonight on 60 minutes without being under oath, there’s no need to go DC.
She’s not going to testify because she’s lying, she knows it, she got in too deep to back out but she knows that she’d be up for everything from perjury to extortion to libel charges if she testifies.
FYI, every woman I’ve talked to about Ford’s claim, right and left thinks she’s lying.
The ones on the left are devastated by this tactic, angry with Feinstein and dreading the circus to come.
The Republicans will still find a way to dork this!
IMHO this Ford brouhaha has little to do with the Kavanaugh nomination-which is a done deal-and EVERYTHING to do with the PAIN coming next. Its all about PizzaGate
Think of victims coming to testify against certain prominent well-known names, of horrific events which have previously been intimated in PizzaGate.
Thats what this is about. Establishing a public basis for disbelief of their stories in a courtroom setting
I believe their new plan is to get her there, but they are bringing in bus loads of paid freaks to disrupt so that the whole thing will be canceled and no vote will be taken.

IMO, Grassley and McConnell acted/reacted properly towards Ford, by calling her bluff.
By granting extensions, and humoring her by agreeing to accommodate her ridiculous demands, they backed that hussy into a corner.
She will not testify, and Justice Kavanaugh will be confirmed. Also, the zany antics by Dems have damaged the Party...
So, no one recalls anything that Ford claims. Why does she need lawyers?

In the end after this political kabuki dance there is no doubt in my mind that this woman will ever appear before the committee. She will have thrown a political stinkbomb in the room which was her intent in the first place and refuse to appear saying she cannot get a “fair hearing”. Which would be a liar’s way of saying I cannot prove my lie.It is unfortunate that this self centered lowlife gave no thought to Kavanaugh’s 2 innocent young daughters who have to live with the fact that their father has been publicly accused of attempted rape which has unfairly been left out there lingering in public as if it were a fact.My sympathy to them.
Based on some anecdotal evidence that I’ve gleaned so far, I think she may very well be a flake.
This article nails it, but I have to disagree on one point. One of her lawyers is Ricki Seidman, who worked with Anita Hill and also helped to derail Robert Bork’s nomination. A letter has emerged from July where she talks of a strategy to stop Kavanaugh. Kavanaugh’s record is spotless, so this is the strategy- create a charge of sexual misconduct in the era of #metoo
Ford has been part of the plan since day one. She will testify, the media will make sure America believes her. That will give cover for the Trump haters Flake & Corker, lame duck senators to vote against him. Collins and Murkowski will also have the cover they want to vote against him

At this point, the process over the last 2 months is as important as what happened 36 years ago. Senators (Rs at least) would be negligent to not ask her who she’s contacted or been contacted by in the last 3 months. And other questions along those lines. That’s something nobody on her side wants discussed.
There’s little/no risk of perjury on what happened (or not) 36 years ago, but she’d have to refuse to answer over-and-over about the last few months which she should have a clear memory of. That would not look good - and this is all about how it looks to voters in November.
This is about disruption, causing fear to cause more republicans to defect, not about truth

Considering that Feinstein is hiding the letter, and Blasey wants to make Kavanaugh testify first shows how deveptive they are being.
Yoo'd think with all the lawyers in the Senate they could figure this out, but they are most likely not the brightest lawyers.
