A teenager from Washington state has become the seventh person to indicate that she will break ranks with party affiliation and become a faithless elector in an attempt to prevent Donald Trump being formally enshrined as president-elect when the electoral college meets on 19 December.
Levi Guerra, 19, from Vancouver, Washington, is set to announce that she is joining the ranks of the so-called Hamilton electors at a press conference at the state capitol in Olympia on Wednesday.
The renegade group believes it is the responsibility of the 538 electors who make up the electoral college to show moral courage in preventing demagogues and other threats to the nation from gaining the keys to the White House, as the founding fathers intended....

“do young people have any sense at all anymore”?
NO!
Any other questions?
That’s all fine and good; do you remember the candidates name, cause I sure as hell don’t.
Sounds like she is a Trump trader. Maybe they are trying to do something like this on the electoral college level?

The elector was Roger MacBride; the candidates voted for were John Hospers and Theodora Nathan.
The 'Rats showed some stupidity in selecting this whimsical teenager for the important duty of a presidential elector, but she was probably chosen because she is female and Hispanic.
BTW, how the heck is "Levi" a female name? Looks and sounds masculine to me.
Seems strange to me. But then again, Gomer was a name used by both men and women.
“BTW, how the heck is “Levi” a female name? Looks and sounds masculine to me.”
A Boy Named Sue?
Could be short for Levinia or something similar.
It won’t. Unless there are some Red State electors who climb on the protest bandwagon. If it is just the people who’ve announced it so far, it will jut mean Trump wins by an even larger margin — 306-225 instead of 306-232.
Who remembers?
This “Hamilton Electors” thing is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard (every day there is new dumbest thing)
Basically these democrap electors (and Washington state rats have a 19 year old girl as an elector? LMAO, and yes Levi is a boy’s name, Hebrew origin, I would guess her parents named her after the brand of jeans) are saying they are willing to elect a Republican other than Trump in order to entice Republican electors to follow suit. A GOP Nixon elector tried to do that in 1960, he suggested Southern dems and GOP vote together to deny Kennedy the White House. He voted for Harry (not Robert) Byrd, the conservative democrat backed by MS independent dem electors (who beat Kennedy in the state) and some from Alabama, and Goldwater for VP. No other GOP electors joined him. I don’t know whether he chose Byrd cause he knew Byrd was the choice of those Southern electors or if they chose Byrd in response to his scheme or if it was a coincidence.
If these idiots follow through with no coordination we could have 7 rat electors vote for 7 different RINOs. That would be funny.
Washington state law will fine her $1,000 for not voting for who she was committed to.
The “unpledged Democrat electors” in MS (which were the winning slate in the state’s theee-way election among Kennedy, Nixon and “unpledged”) and the six “unpledged” electors that were elected in AL Democrat primary to be under Kennedy’s name on the ballit (although voters knew that only the five “loyalist” electors actually would vote for Kennedy if he won) already had decided to cast their votes for segregationist Democrat Harry Byrd prior to the OK GOP elector deciding to vote for Byrd instead of for Nixon.
Washington state VOTED for Trump? Jeez, I guess the state of Eastern Washington...
The youngest state representative in West Virginia is a 19 year old Republican. Her dad is a Republican state Senator, IIRC.
This is a democrat elector, so of course no conservative would hire her.
I figured that was a lot more likely than the reverse.
Wasn’t a bad idea, but it would have spurred outrage if successful and possibly lead to the abolition of the EC, which I guess made it a bad idea...;p
You guys are familiar with the popular vote state compact idea, I read a couple years ago that Saul Anusues from Michigan was a backer of it. He wrote a farticle titled something like “Conservatives need the popular vote”.
Well guess what, it’s right after an election where the EC is gonna save our butts from a fraudulent Shillery win and he’s STILL advocating for it. What a piece of crap.
