Will these whispers turn to shouts?
The word behind the word is that Paul Manafort is already earning his keep BIG TIME as he moves to deliver a stunning blow to the Cruz campaign a source describes as a potential punch to the face that involves the number 172.
Here is a brief summary of what will simply be called the 172 Plan :
**Talks are ongoing and more numerous between Team Trump and a second party over the last 48-hours.
**If these talks lead to an agreement, it will be a game-changer in the 2016 Republican nomination process.
**Manafort is said to be personally leading the negotiations with Donald Trumps full approval. In fact, its believed Manafort was the first to suggest this scenario last month but did so then more as an observer of the campaign. Now he is a top-ranking operative/adviser for Team Trump.
**This ongoing negotiation has sent the Cruz campaign scrambling to block further negotiation from materializing and getting a considerable assist from powerful GOP forces.
Oooooo.....you sure talk tough.
The Trump people are shaking in their boots for sure.
Enjoy gnashing your teeth at your self-inflicted ulcers.
70% of people in America know and dislike Trump, INCLUDING many, many solid conservatives who SHOULD be in his camp in November. Ridicule and dismiss us at Trump’s and America’s peril. There are many millions of Constitutionalists whom Trump had better start courting, and soon.
Yes, saw that. Several others say 172
Also, California has 172 delegates and as mentioned by Red Steel "172 delegates is the number of delegates that are in play on April 26th." We'll see. .
I’m sure he’s going to miss your vote. It’s obviously your crew supporter and you don’t plan on voting for Trump at all
As I said, we shall see.
Nah. A Yo Mama joke probably be enough.
I have no ulcers, Hostage. I say what I think and don’t hold anything inside me. It makes me sick to think that this man Trump may be so hated that the Hillary crime syndicate may capture America. He had better wise up, fast, or America will crumble.
It won’t be long before a deminished Rafael Cruz will be back in
the Senate shutting down the govt every 6 months or so.
Rafael is a political dead ender. He will find that out soon enough.
Since when is taking on a possible VP pick a dirty trick?
No candidate can transfer his delegates to another. He can release them and ask that they support someone else but, once released, they are free agents.
It reeks of desperation, short sightedness and opportunism so it certainly could hurt it the Fall not to mention his plans for actually governance once in office.
“70% of people in America know and dislike Trump,”
83% of Floridians dislike Ted Cruz and it’s already too late for Ted. He will lose the state of Florida and with it the election.
The guy that wants to give amnesty in the first 100 days? The guy that tells Christian bakers to just shut up and bake gay cakes? The guy...
Not true. But if Trump continues to act like a WWE punk and drift leftward, millions of conservatives will not vote for the guy. You have no idea how many people think that Trump is an unprincipled bully, whether or not we agree with his positions on some things.
I don’t prefer Kasich. But if Trump has to team with Kasich to send
Rafael back to the Senate, so be it.
Cruz is a fraud.
Leni
Good point. I don’t relish thinking of Little Marco on the ticket. But if Paul Manafort has been expressing this from when he was only an observer, then it could very well be Marco.
The VP slot is one more of ceremony than anything else. It’s actually rare that a VP runs for election as President and wins. So in that light, it may very well be a practical decision. We need to keep our emotions under control and look at the larger picture.
Cruz has made many enemies—his slash and burn tricks have not endeared him to many. Many think Trumps ability to conprimise beats Cruz and his inflextible Conservatism and Deep Christian values. It will be—what ever it is—good TV.
