Was Justice Scalia murdered? Forget "conspiracy theory." This is real.

Let's jump right in with quotes from the Washington Post, 2/15, Conspiracy theories swirl around the death of Antonin Scalia. The Post published extraordinary statements from the Facebook page of "William O. Ritchie, former head of criminal investigations for D.C. police":

"As a former homicide commander, I am stunned that no autopsy was ordered for Justice Scalia."

"You have a Supreme Court Justice who died, not in attendance of a physician. You have a non-homicide trained US Marshal tell the justice of peace that no foul play was observed. You have a justice of the peace pronounce death while not being on the scene and without any medical training opining that the justice died of a heart attack. What medical proof exists of a myocardial Infarction? Why not a cerebral hemorrhage?"

"How can the Marshal say, without a thorough post mortem, that he was not injected with an illegal substance that would simulate a heart attack..."

By what mechanism would you overrule the Scaila family and the State of Texas on the autopsy?

So as long as Big Media doesn’t make it directly about politics, we can trust them?

We’re to be completely satisfied with Big Media’s reporting and cause of death, no autopsy needed. Got it.

Especially one week after Barky gets his Great EPA Mandates shoved up his back side by the very same court this man sat on.

VJ the serpent ordered the hit. Bank on it.
We were told during the Benghazi hearings “The Enemy is inside the Building”.

Nothing to see here, Folks move along now.

It was stated in earlier articles that Scalia elected to not have a security detail in this trip.

"Then what. Unless Obama personally murdered him (unlikely) it makes no difference to the process."

The beneficiary would be Clinton, not Obama. And wasn't Arkancide a much-used word during the last Clinton administration?

"tin foil hat nonsense."

No autopsy for our Supreme Court justice is not worthy of suspicion?

Scalia died in his sleep. There is no "there" there.

We should all be so lucky to make our exit the way he did.

They always do an autopsy when someone dies who is not under a doctor’s care.

Unattended deaths require autopsies.

Hi Vermont Lt,

I seem to remember reading this last weekend that the US Marshals offer protection to Supreme Court Justices unless declined. What I read was that Justice Scalia had declined the detail.

“Unattended deaths require autopsies.”

Not under Texas law.

I agree with you until it said the Judge talked to Scalia’s personal doctor and the Scalia had an MRI last week.

I have had several MRIs in the past year. My mom has too. And she has the same Government Top Shelf Medical Care that these guys have. They do not “just order” MRIs.

They were looking for something. My off the cuff guess is that they were looking at the arteries of the kidneys and lungs (pretty standard work for an MRI with contrast.) They do that for old men with diabetes, heart disease, and arterial issues.

Interestingly, one of the things that can happen with the contrast in those things is the “throwing of clots.” It is pretty common for really sick people. And really sick people dont always look sick.

Now we come back to this guy being a Supreme Court Justice.

If you are on the spot, and it is customary for these guys to declare dead people dead this way, they were not thinking it through. I am sure they were thinking of the wishes of the family and the lack of surprise from the Dr.

So they call in Acme Undertakers. Acme knows that they cannot send a body out of TX without it being embalmed. That is a common thing. (My grandmother died in her sleep in her apartment in Vernon VT. Literally within site of the MA Line. My uncle put her in her wheel chair and pushed her across the lawn, and called the local cops. She “died” in MA so the undertaker did not have to go through the intrastate embalming crap, and she could be cremated according to her wishes.)

I agree with you on the fact that they did not do a cursory look at the funeral parlor. That happens a lot with folks they find in the water and what not. Clearly dead. No need to rush it. But, its not a Columbo mystery either.

But, not matter how much people conspire and complain...its not going to make an iotas difference.

They already protect each Supreme Court Justice. Scalia declined protection at the ranch. I suppose the Federal agents thought it would be OK.

My father in law did.

I sat in his kitchen with my wife and her mom. They were bitching to each other about how long he was sleeping and that he was in there “sleeping like the dead.”

Evidently, he had a massive stroke the night before. Due to body temp and rigor, he had been dead a while.

The medics went to take him and put him on his back and he was literally hard as a rock, stuck in his sleeping-on-his side position. I had seen many dead people. I was upset because it was may wife dad, but I was not shocked.

I just looked at the medics and said, “I think it is probably OK to call this.” We all gave a nervous laugh.

I imagine this was the way he went.

I told my wife, the only way it could have been better is if there were two 20 year old co-eds in there with him.
