Trump: He stood up there like the Champion I want fighting for me. Ready to break a bottle to use in a bar fight.
Rubio: I'm a fascist and fascism is cool
Cruz: Well greased. Debate prowess overrated but still good.
Kasich: Neck has a blue stain from blue collar work. Oblivious to the forces opposed to him.
JEB!: Crying little rich baby bringing his mother and brother into the fight.
Carson: Refuses to relinquish his 15 minutes of fame. Not a parody but a sad sad commentary on something that was important that I can not figure out.
And a bonus, two extra:
Sanders: I'm having a great time. Too bad this didn't happen at 38, look at all the chicks. Oh yea, everything is going to be free.
Hillary: Can't believe she is losing to this idiot. can't believe she is not in jail. Can't believe she hasn't been strangled in her bed.
Go Donald!
I approve of this message.
Trump may very well be out only for himself and be conning us.
I think he is PROBABLY a legitimate convert to conservatism, but this is too important an election to take a chance.
As he likes to point out, he doesn't take anyone's money.
For me, this is a HUGE RED FLAG!
It means he is NOT ACCOUNTABLE TO ANYONE, and can do anything on a whim.
I WANT someone accountable to special interests... not to the establishment donor class, but to the CONSERVATIVE donor class. Someone like Cruz. I could even stomach Rubio... except for being weak on immigration, at least he's conservative on everything else, and knows his base won't tolerate any new immigration shenanigans from him.
Trump... sure, I'd take him over Bush or Kasich who clearly are NOT conservative. But there's too strong a chance Trump won't be either. Conservatives who vote for him are using their emotions and relegating their brains to the same place liberals keep theirs.
It was a dark and stormy night. Suddenly a door slams...
Best. Debate Analysis. EVAH.
Great job, Fhios!
Trump stood up there like a champion, of the left. “Bush Lied”, etc.
Good review. Reflects more or less my opinion.
It's my best judgment.
Conservative donor class?
No such thing exists.
The donors advocate for their business interests. Not necessarily illegal, but it has nothing to do with conservatism.
Trump was never a liberal. That’s just a Cruz lie. He’s been a registered republican since 1980 and helped raise money for Reagan, Bush, etc. Check out his interview from 30 years ago that Ann Coulter retweeted a few hours ago.
My best judgement is that Trump is the slippriest and the squirreliest guy on the stage. A jarring combination, and a dangerous one.
A "Greaser"?
Grow up. Get a thesaurus. Maybe you could use something like smooth or polished and stop with the "greaser" snark.
But also 2) Koch brothers are conservatives. Why do you think libs hate them so much? I don't agree with Koch brothers on everything, but agree with them on MOST things and would trust Trump FAR more if he was accountable to someone like them whom I knew to be reliably conservative.
But no. That's not what I meant. I meant just in general slippery like a lawyer in a sharkskin suit.
"It's my best judgment."
That's interesting, because I've never seen any politician, left or right, turn faster on friends then Trump if he feels slighted or done wrong by. He may fight for you now, but don't ever utter a tiny word of criticism, or he'll be out to bury you. Just sayin'.
I don't trust him as far as I could throw him, but I'd vote for him in a heartbeat over Jeb, Kasich, or any Democrat.
Why should everyone see this movie?
"3. Offensive Slang Used as a disparaging term for a person of Latin, especially Latin American or Italian, descent"
(From TheFreeDictionary.com)
Many terms have multiple meanings, and using "greased" is an odd usage for describing a verbal presentation--one I have not seen used before. It reeks of being a cheap pejorative, and I think we can do better here.
Because the Fact that Cruz is of Latin decent never crossed my mind. Your definition of grease and Greasers might be more contemporary than mine. To me it’s the Italian kids from the greater NY area during the 50’s and 60’s. But I did not say Greaser. I said well greased. Like a slick lawyer.
Americans love Cuban refugees due to Ronald Reagan. But if you have worked with many latin americans like I have you notice that Cruz and Rubio have European look to them. You notice that of the leaderships in Latin American nations resemble a white guy with darker skin and overall dark look that hints at sophistication. The Latin American Aristocracy.
Pretty much agree with you.
Stop the insanity. What, was this debate #873? Hands down, it was the most annoying. Entertaining but not in a good way. It put the glitter on Hillary’s happy dance after the devastating news of Scalia’s death today.
Rubio got on my last nerve. He sounded like that annoying kid in high school who thought he was God’s gift to the debate team. The moderators tried to give him the starring role but he blew it.
Cruz only wishes he’d been on the HS debate team but no one liked him enough to invite him.
Carson’s little Whacko Jacko-esque voice was more like finger nails on a blackboard and had nothing to offer. He should go home for a change of clothes and stay there.
Kasich may have had a couple good points in the past but can’t remember them for all the really bad points tonight.
Trump makes you cringe but he doesn’t get steam rolled.
Jeb, was the playground baby who whined to his mama when he got pants-ed.
