Trump may very well be out only for himself and be conning us.
I think he is PROBABLY a legitimate convert to conservatism, but this is too important an election to take a chance.
As he likes to point out, he doesn't take anyone's money.
For me, this is a HUGE RED FLAG!
It means he is NOT ACCOUNTABLE TO ANYONE, and can do anything on a whim.
I WANT someone accountable to special interests... not to the establishment donor class, but to the CONSERVATIVE donor class. Someone like Cruz. I could even stomach Rubio... except for being weak on immigration, at least he's conservative on everything else, and knows his base won't tolerate any new immigration shenanigans from him.
Trump... sure, I'd take him over Bush or Kasich who clearly are NOT conservative. But there's too strong a chance Trump won't be either. Conservatives who vote for him are using their emotions and relegating their brains to the same place liberals keep theirs.
It's my best judgment.
Conservative donor class?
No such thing exists.
The donors advocate for their business interests. Not necessarily illegal, but it has nothing to do with conservatism.
Trump was never a liberal. That’s just a Cruz lie. He’s been a registered republican since 1980 and helped raise money for Reagan, Bush, etc. Check out his interview from 30 years ago that Ann Coulter retweeted a few hours ago.
When you have to think and then add probably behind it, run for the hills because you have too much doubt about the man.
That is what I was taught and it has always worked well for me.

He is accountable to people. Trump has investors and these investors are all over the world. These investors may not contribute to his campaign but you can bet he is beholden to them because the man really does not have that much liquid cash. His net worth is bottled up in investments which have investors.
So, he cannot just at the drop of a hat do anything he wants. He must remember his investors, when all of this is over, and he walks away with the prize the American Citizen hands him.
Trump is for himself 100% of the time.
Even when his reality show raise dmoney for charity it was still all about Trump.
We need a leader with just enough ego to make it to the whitehouse then let their selfless character and oath to the constitution character rule their decision making.
Trump doesn’t have one selfless cell.

With Trump at least you have a chance he will work for us instead of just another politician promising you one thing to get elected and then working totally against it once entering DC.
At the very least, Trump’s success in the private world is built on doing what he says and getting it done.

That is UNTIL he is sworn in as POTUS, then the game changes considerably unless he pulls an odumbo and starts issuing executive orders. I do not see him doing that.
