No one else cares.
Since the political class is still in a quandry over how Donald Trump keeps rolling even as he does things they are sure will bring about his end, letâs use tomorrow nightâs Fox News debate as the perfect case in point. Trump is apparently going to skip the debate because of his antipathy toward Megyn Kelly, or hers toward him, or whatever. Upon learning this, the entire world of political people immediately went into overdrive analyzing the move.
Is it shrewd? Does this present an opening for Cruz? Does he look like a baby? How will he explain how he can handle Putin when he canât handle Megyn Kelly?
Oh the questions!
I’m delighted because that means I can actually skip that obnoxious thing. Trump is my only drawing card. I am certainly not drawn by the usual off-point subject matter or the format which has nothing to do with a “debate” but everything to do with putting the spotlight on the obnoxious “moderators”.
The Media and the GOPElites set up an ambush, Trump simply rode the other way....
“Whooped em’again.....”
Frickin’ brilliant.
Trump bails out of a debate blaming Fox’s anchor.
This was THE DEBATE in which Ted Cruz’s only job was to clean Donald’s clock, and Donald bails out on the basis of something else, which keeps the media busy not noticing his sidestep.
Brilliant.
The Donald "whooped em'" by acting like a 4 year old throwing a temper tantrum.
And what has been Rupert Murdoch’s response? Encouraging Mike Bloomberg to get into the race, to “get even” with The Donald for trying to tell him how to run Fox News Network, i.e., take Megyn Kelly off the panel, and oh, yeah, take that CAIR representative off the panel as well.
“Getting even” is one of the most futile things human beings can engage in, as there is no “even” that can ever be achieved. You win, or you lose. And it looks like Rupert Murdoch is about to lose this one.
Take no hostages you are not prepared and willing to kill.
The “political class” can kiss my a**!
Is Fox News Preparing Proverbial âKill Shotâ Against Trump Campaign?
Trump shines a bright light on the political maneuvering and phoniness of the “fair and balanced.”
I hate “fair and balanced.” To me it’s “dumb and dumber.” TELL THE TRUTH. Don’t “balance” the truth with a lie.
Stupid comparison.
Putin leads a state, and our relations are determined by economic, political and military strength and realities. If Putin was as big a bitch as Megyn Kelly, he wouldn't meet with him either, he would just do what we needed to do. Meetings are set up ahead of time with agendas and agreements.
The Republican debates during the primaries should be for the purpose of helping Republican voters decide who to vote for during the primary. When hosted by CNN, they are instead a vehicle for ridicule of Republican candidates so that they all are viewed by the electorate as a whole as jokes.
When hosted by Fox news, the debates are a vehicle for attempting to "take out" the candidates who the GOP establishment does not like. Especially to take out Trump. He is the anti-establishment candidate with the greatest chance of winning the nomination. So even other candidates they hate will not be attacked like Trump.
Romney knew what he was getting into when he went to the stupid CNN debate with Obama. He did it anyway. The standard reason to participate is fear, fear of stupid statements like "can't deal with Candy Crowley, and you want to be President"? Yet Candy Crowley stuck a shiv in his campaign, because she had a microphone and control of the event. Megyn Kelly has the microphone and control of the event. She can go after Trump in all kinds of ways that he can't fight back against, and because she actively wants him to lose. Moderators may have private opinions, but it should not affect their questions or handling of the debate. Trump is right to tell Fox to get rid of a moderator who is actively working against him. They might as well let Jeb!'s campaign manager ask the questions.
Better to walk away. It also sets a precedent for the general, where the standard CNN, NBC, CBS format of attack the Republican should not be accepted this time.
Yep...the debate should be only Cruz and Trump. I like both of them and the topics and scope of discussions should be predetermined and agreed upon. That is a DEBATE! Whatever ego-driven TV show Fox is putting on IS NOT A DEBATE!
“Whooped em’ again, boy....”
Incredible movie!
If anyone is acting childishly it’s the establishment for expecting someone to foolishly play a rigged game.
I think FOX may be overestimating THEIR influence as well.
Much of the anger being felt by Trump’s supporter is directed at a Network that is supposed to be “fair and balanced” but often times is anything but.
