It is doubtful that Ted Cruz supporters know these things about him. It is up to them to reconcile this information to continue supporting him.
Credit Suisse Group gave Cruz $33,442. CSG is under federal and international investigation as the money launderers for the crooks who ran FIFA the international soccer association.
Cruz has taken cash from both sides of the amnesty issue. He has received $705, 657 from the pro-amnesty Club For Growth and both financial and volunteer support from Wallbuilders, an anti- amnesty Evangelical group whose founder, David Barton, has written a book on Thomas Jefferson that is frankly ridiculous and justifiably mocked by Jeffersonian scholars.
Goldman Sachs gave Cruz $69,350. The pro-amnesty Goldman Sachs is under an FBI investigation that just started in June. It has a long history of dirty dealings and being a Democrat ATM. Is this money a âpay it forwardâ bribe to Cruz to save Goldman Sachs by having a âPresident Cruzâ call the FBI off of his wifeâs employer?
BTW Goldman Sachs gave a fat envelope to Mitch McConnell â arenât they on opposite sides of everything? It seems not.
Morgan, Lewis gave Cruz $67,550. Theyâre an Illinois law firm being sued for allegedly helping a client cover up illegal tax shelters. The media would keep asking Cruz if he would help them out of this mess once elected president.
As soon as it became apparent that Cruz would be the Republican nominee, the media would jump on these things and paint Cruz as a fringe person not representative of the âAmerican mainstream,â who is willing to overlook his donorâs criminal activities to keep the cash flowing.
It makes no difference [what Cruz supporters say]..

Yes I am a Trump supporter but I rallied people when Cruz did his filibuster and I don't want him smeared with this stuff. The media is just waiting for the right time to jump on this material.
What a bunch of hooey
“The media is just waiting for the right time to jump on this material.”
But not a word about who is funding Hillary’s campaign — for example, the Saudis.
You did the right thing posting this.
Cruz must be vetted just like Trump and just like Rubio.
I try to remain as judicious as possible. For example, even though I favor Trump at the moment ...

[One for Cruz.]
Cruz also is opposed to Big Ethanol, unlike Trump.
All must be added to the mix.
I’m wondering how much these same outfits are giving to other candidates. I’m going to guess that Morgan Lewis doles out money to more than one candidate — Democrats too perhaps. I used to work for a law firm that has its own PAC. They play both sides of the fence.
And note that all three companies are under investigation or have been sued. Have any of them been convicted of wrongdoing?
This is written in the stupid world that A: everything that is not instant deportation is amnesty and B: that the only issue is amnesty and that C: a financial donation is the equivalent of Barton’s support (he is full time director of Cruz super pac now, and he’s anti amnesty by your own admission).
I’ll not waste my time in this intellectually vapid and vacant black hole.
Who, specifically, allegedly received the money from CSG? A PAC, or the Cruz campaign itself, or Ted Cruz the person, or someone else?
read post 6 - lotta logical holes in this one...
As much as I admire Cruz, we must vet him before the primary votes.
I don’t know a lot about finance, but the Goldman Sachs contribution might not be so bad? It’s a huge corporation that would probably be under investigation all the time due to being so diversified.
Although I’ve always accused them of corruption for years, they are a fixture. So I have mixed thoughts about a contribution from them.
The more stuff like this gets posted from this source, the more I realize that CoachIsADouche.
I personally support skilled labor immigration if the vetting is careful and the employer pays the government for its investigation cost.
But look, Cruz made it to ‘Top Two’.
I did not want too much vetting of him if he never made it this high, but now he’s there. He must be vetted.
For example, Goldman Sachs. A very corrupt corporation. But also a fixture in our economy. Tainted, but arguably acceptable donation.
We must view this from the eye of a democrat campaign strategist — what would the uninformed voter think? And how will Cruz react?
And one would suppose Donald Trump is just like the guy next door? Big money contributors to candidates donate like a gambler spreading his chips across a roulette table. Whatever the outcome they can say they bet on the winner. Compared to the hay the Democrats will make of Trump’s casino limousine parking lot expansion via eminent domain in Atlantic City (picture an older lady telling her sob story with Hillary beside her at the podium) this is small potato inside baseball to most people.
Did you ever want to buy something but first you want to get the ‘poop’ on it?
I sometimes go to advanced search and type in, “Acme computer” ...
Then I add in possible words:
sux, sucks, stinks, hate, lousy. [Words like that.]

I want the product, but I VET it first.
You fail in logic for this statement:
Credit Suisse Group gave Cruz $33,442. CSG is under federal and international investigation as the money launderers for the crooks who ran FIFA the international soccer association.
How are they associated?
“And one would suppose Donald Trump is just like the guy next door? Big money contributors to candidates donate like a gambler spreading his chips across a roulette table.”
Let the games begin. We must vet them both. If he has some ‘Johnny English’ scheme to Kelo the USA into a giant prison, we need to know now. And maybe this is a close enough fit?

Trump needs to address that.
I gave Cruz well over a grand and I got a speeding ticket last year.
You might think twice about supporting a candidate who’ll take money from lawbreakers like me.
Just saying...
vetting stupidly or out of context or out of proportion is still foolish...and pointing it out doesnt’ mean I’m anti vetting....that’s straw bullshit.
Goldman Sachs is Cruz’s wife’s employer. She is a Hedge Fund Analyst.
Okay, is Goldman Sachs an honest corporation of integrity?
I sure as heck don’t think so. They were neck deep in the ‘AAA’ bonding that sold off bundled FAnnie/FReddie debt. They were part of the 2008 economic meltdown and THEN? They get so many bailouts — tax money — that they profited while other corporations suffered.
Horseshit!
Having worked quite a few very high-level money laundering and terrorist financing cases after I retired from the Army, I can tell you that, by and large, ALL banks are involved in money laundering to some extent. Some - including some very well known US banks - know exactly what they’re doing and some simply choose to look the other way. In many cases, major US banks have avoided indictment by “cooperating” (to a limited extent) with federal law enforcement. This link and a minor amount of research will give you some insight into the real extent of the issue: http://wallstreetonparade.com/2013/12/relationship-managers-at-the-new-york-fed-and-citibank-the-job-function-ripe-for-corruption/
The truth is that every president of every bank in the world knows that the amount of money generated by criminal enterprises like drug trafficking organizations makes billions for banks around the world every year. For example, almost 20 years ago a friend and very highly-regarded international money laundering expert and I did a bottoms-up estimate of the amount of money generated worldwide by drug trafficking organizations alone. Our very conservative estimate, based on verifiable information, came in at over $620 billion per year. Factor in other criminal enterprises, including official corruption, and it easily exceeds that estimate by orders of magnitude. Does anyone really believe that the banking industry would willingly support removal of that amount of money from the banking system when the transfer fees alone generate millions in profits every year?
At any given time, you’ll find one or more major banks UNDER INDICTMENT somewhere in the world. The underlying reasons for those indictments are many and varied, which is an important point. By definition, “under indictment” means that the bank has been officially accused of complicity or involvement in illegal activity, sometimes knowingly and sometimes because they should have known or failed to complete and submit required disclosures. An accusation is NOT the same as a conviction and the same standard could be applied to major corporations in other industries.
If we’re going to single out a couple of banks that donated to Ted Cruz, then we ought to look at the financial institutions that have donated to every candidate at every time in that candidate’s political career. El Dorado Savings and Loan, BCCI and the Bush family come to mind, as do the activities of Bill and Hillary Clinton, the Clinton Foundation and the banks with which they have been involved, as well as, I’m sure, every candidate who has been involved in politics for more than 10 minutes.
