Prayer Request for my Family Upon the Death of my Daughter

In the past I have posted regarding my wife's mental illness and the tough times we have endured because of it. Now I am devastated to tell you all that our 19 year old daughter took her own life on November 23rd. She was diagnosed as bi-polar and was very distraught over her best friend's suicide last year.

I've never had to go through anything near this bad and I pray none of you ever do. The loss of one's child is beyond horrendous. So far we've been doing ok but there are periods of extreme grief out of the blue and many tears. She was laid to rest this past Monday.

I ask that anyone who is willing to please pray for my daughter and my entire family.

This is something we will never get over. But we will have to deal with the circumstances. It didn't seem real when the police chaplain told us. All week it seemed as though we were living in a fog. A torrent of tears came when we were finally able to see her body at the funeral home. Even now, as I type this I am in tears for her. I know that she is now free from her earthly pains and hurts. Lord, I was not ready for her to go to You but I must accept it. Please take care of her soul and give those of us she left behind the strength to handle the sorrow and grief.

I am so sorry for the loss of your daughter. My daughter made an attempt one night. The feeling of utter helplessness and despair as I found her on the bathroom floor cannot be described.
