Donald Trump’s response to a snarky and incompetent Megyn Kelly will not be this election cycle’s “Macaca moment.” America has been there and won’t do that again.
Nine years ago Virginia Republican Senator George Allen, who was running for re-election, called an India Indian young man “macaca.” The Democrat controlled media had already seen the Rahm Emmanuel – David Axelrod cabal turn nothing into something in the Foley affair so they decided to charge Allen with the Leftists’ capital crime of “Using demeaning and insensitive language toward a minority.”
In short order they had Allen, who was favored to be re-elected, on his knees publicly begging little mecaca and the rest of the minority universe for forgiveness. The media quickly characterized “mecaca” as code language for anything else they wanted to charge any Republican with.
The media made Allen jump through hoops, roll over and play dead until they got tired of the poor fool’s begging. They ended the show with a thumb down, the way Roman Emperors would order the death of defeated gladiators.
The hypocritical breast beating in Virginia combined with the stupidity of rank and file Republican voters who marched to the polls like zombies murmuring “I can’t vote for my Republican candidate because there is a homosexual Republican somewhere in America,” led to the destruction of our country.
Crucifying a hapless George Allen and handing his seat to a Democrat did not make America a better country; it made our country far worse.
A decade later no one would know little Macaca if they met him; but the lasting effect of “avenging the wrong” done to him...

Notice they only do this to Republican candidates. They get them begging for forgiveness, which makes them look like wimps - that’s why they can’t understand that it isn’t working against Trump.
if the end result of this is the media hyenas and political hacks lose their favorite smear tactic, the one that we suffer through every election cycle and is worse than counterproductive, then Trump will have earned my eternal gratitude.

Trump has balls, people instinctively respond positively to strength and negatively to weakness. Progressives know this and spineless republiCrats eternally forget it.
Hopefully, Trump also knows that he is toast if he does offer an apology.
It frosts me that so many politicians are so quick to get on their knees and beg for forgiveness. If Trump had been involved, he not only would have refused to apologize, but he would have demanded an apology from Mr. MacCaca.

Better the devil you know, and all that.
We don’t have time for PC. That’s true. But we also don’t have time for these sniping sideshows that go on for days, a week now, either.
A President needs to stay focused on important issues, not waste time sniping with unimportant people about unimportant matters.
It really reminds me of the Wayne’s World movie scene where they tried their standard schtick on a guy that called them on it and they backed away in fear.
Allen was ripped apart after he apologized something Trump has learned from, but not the ‘Pubbies who will constantly knuckle under to the Democrats, the Media and the Perpetually Offended and be destroyed by them.
This is why folks like Trump. They don’t know enough of his background to be suspicious, but they like his public persona as they see it now.
