I’m Not Angry At Donald Trump, I’m Angry At His Supporters
The Matt Walsh Blog ^ | August 10, 2015 | Matt Walsh

I’ve noticed that most of my readers are not Trump fans, and I appreciate that. I love you guys for being reasonable and not falling for this glorified circus elephant. But Trump fans will come out of the woodwork because of my latest piece here, and when they do I want you to notice something: they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them. Watch what happens when someone is blunt and unapologetic towards them.

This is the first sign that Trump’s legion of admirers aren’t sincere. They say they like his tone — which is already a terrible, horrible, ridiculous reason to elect someone president — but it turns out that they just like his tone when he’s regurgitating their own shallow sentiments.

Trump, of course, is the same way. He claims to be the bold, politically incorrect guy, but he cries like a scrawny bully when anyone punches him back. He’s weak. And that’s what led to the now infamous incident a few days ago, where he attacked Megyn Kelly for asking him tough questions, insinuating that she was on her period.

You prove the author’s point. By attacking him, rather than explaining why Trump is the best candidate.

Now tell me to FO as well, since I’ve probably offended you.

So any Republican pictured with Clinton is a traitor to the cause?

Come on. You can do better than that.

Still haven’t graduated to “Intelligence of a Conservative” yet, have you?

Lemme see...

Failed to address any of the points raised? Check!

Instead responded with a childish insult? Check!

Yup, a typical Trumpette. Thanks for proving my point.

Yes, and it’s absurd to think that murder will end if we make it illegal. There are ways of collecting that don’t involve Mexico’s willingness.

Hmmm, ya think?

(check out post #75, where a Trumpette replied to my post noting that Trump supporters often resort to personal insults instead of responding substantively by.....resorting to personal insults instead of responding substantively).

All you need do is tax the billions of dollars Mexicans send home every year.

That tax would be an indirect way of making them pay for the fence, or wall.

” The real problem are his supporters. These are conscious, intelligent adults who have chosen to make a mockery of the political process and play games with my country’s future.”

This is where he goes off the rails. The “political process” was a joke before Trump got on the scene. The gotcha game played by the media is a joke. The PC regime instituted by the left to set the boundary of discussion is a joke, and ostracized anyone who goes off the reservation is a joke. I don’t know if Trump is my guy yet, nut what he’s done so far dismantling PC I’m all in favor of.

Sure I can. I am just mad as all heck! Why believe any politician? Case in point McConnell, Boehner et al. They get in DC and join the cabal. There is probably only five real conservatives in DC. Ted Cruz is one. What only one other guy stood up with him about Mitch’s lie? He can’t do it himself.

He needs a wrecking ball.

As I said When was Reagan attend something as intimate as a wedding given by the Clintons?

Answer the question asked with the picture posted:

Answer the question; Name one Republican Candidate other than Trump that you would stand by for a second if they were in a picture like this?

You understand that I’m not Matt Walsh, right?

You exemplify exactly what Matt writes about, by the way. Unhinged people supporting an unhinged candidate. Re-read your comment and see how rabid and senseless it is.

We all know Jebby has been chosen to lose. It is fun to watch Trump stir the nest and expose the rats.

“Along comes Donald Trump and says ...”

Words are cheap. If you care about this nation, put your support behind the candidate who not only “says” the right things, but the candidate who also *does* the right things: Ted Cruz.

they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them.

"Blunt and unapologetic" is fine in its proper place.

Megyn Kelly interviewing Trump harshly on her show is fine; usurping the debate to do a harsh interview is not okay.

The candidates will be making many appearances on these shows in the future. It was wrong of the moderators to steal the spotlight of a 24 million viewer event for their own purposes. Those people tuned in to see the candidates show their mettle by taking on each other. They were not interested in more MSM grandstanding.
