I’m Not Angry At Donald Trump, I’m Angry At His Supporters
The Matt Walsh Blog ^ | August 10, 2015 | Matt Walsh

I’ve noticed that most of my readers are not Trump fans, and I appreciate that. I love you guys for being reasonable and not falling for this glorified circus elephant. But Trump fans will come out of the woodwork because of my latest piece here, and when they do I want you to notice something: they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them. Watch what happens when someone is blunt and unapologetic towards them.

This is the first sign that Trump’s legion of admirers aren’t sincere. They say they like his tone — which is already a terrible, horrible, ridiculous reason to elect someone president — but it turns out that they just like his tone when he’s regurgitating their own shallow sentiments.

Trump, of course, is the same way. He claims to be the bold, politically incorrect guy, but he cries like a scrawny bully when anyone punches him back. He’s weak. And that’s what led to the now infamous incident a few days ago, where he attacked Megyn Kelly for asking him tough questions, insinuating that she was on her period.

Get real.

The idea to finish the fence is fine. I totally support it.

The idea that Mexicans are going to pay for it is laughable and absurd.

...“Democrats have opened our borders to all manner of horrific Third World violence, crime, and disease. The GOP has supported and endorsed this vile activity every single step of the way. Trump has tapped into the fury of the American people over the unrelenting anti-American NWO push of our paid employees in government. Trump could win this on this one issue alone. Americans are tired of being betrayed by their government on both sides of the aisle.”...

Agreed. One of the few TRULy jarring and cognitively dissonant things Trump has said so far. I submitted an editorial cartoon idea on this very subject to a cartoonist friend of mine just last week. But it COULD work if it employed enough Mexicans for a long enough time. There would inevitably be a lot of deal-making and tax write-offs of course.

"If the same standards were used to judge him as any other Republican, he would be deemed a RINO and a GOPE. Why is Trump given a pass on so many issues?"

You hit it on the head!

Name one Republican Presidential Candidate that would not have already have been written off if they had taken a picture like this? Clinton and Clinton - Lite

I'd be happy with a revolution in which the leaders had a consistent track record of pro-freedom, limited growth principles and stuck to them in their personal lives.

Take a deep breath and listen Mister Walsh. America is dead. She has been killed by Barack Obama. The Republican Party is dead. It was killed by Bone head and the Turtle Man.

Along comes Donald Trump and says “ I think I can revive America’s dead body and I think I can revive the dead body that is the Republican Party; will you step aside and let me try, or will you wring your hands and demand the Republicans bring back Mitt Romney?” Common sense says “Hell yeah! What harm can he do?” Got it pal?

Precisely.

You have to wonder who is consuming more Kool Aid these days.

BHO’s fanatical supporters or Trump’s supporters.

This is a borderline cult of personality.

Trump’s supporters can’t handle the truth.

It is well thought out. Conservatism will go nowhere until someone can significantly damage the DC cartel. Of all of the options, only Trump has the broad reach (across demographics, ideology, and party), the makeup, the intestinal fortitude, and the leadership abilities, to make this happen. Sometimes, you have to unleash the dogs of war, even if you don't fully control them. But make no mistake, if Trump loses, the DC establishment will retain dominance, regardless of who enters the white house, and they will continue to crush conservatism, which is the primary enemy of both wings of the establishment party.

Just because you don't understand something, or don't agree with it, doesn't make it "not well thought out."

But Donald Trump is not the problem. The real problem are his supporters. These are conscious, intelligent adults who have chosen to make a mockery of the political process and play games with my country’s future. For this reason, because I love my country and I take it’s fate seriously, I am angry at these people. They know better than this. They are better than this. And it pains me that these reckless, bored people are coming, presumably, from the conservative ranks

This pompous, arrogant prick loves to look down at anyone that doesn't agree with him/her/it.

The men to lead revolutions generally are not the ones you want in power after the revolution is over.

“who have chosen to make a mockery of the political process and play games with my country’s future”

Establishment Republican “leaders” were doing this long before Trump came along.

Hey look, a homo looking Metrosexual is lecturing us about how stupid we are for liking Donald Trump. That’s definitely going to encourage me to vote for Jeb Bush.

This is a borderline cult of personality.

Good grief. This is not a "cult of personality", or anything resembling it. To avoid repetition, see the post #52 just above this. This is not a Kool Aid cult, or fanatical supporter-ism, or anything like it. It is a logical, and reasoned, response for conservatives, and any other people who are irate about the DC Cartel's hold over this country, to support the one person with the will and, hopefully, capacity, to drain the DC swamp.

I would suggest that it is the anti-Trump contingent, as exemplified by over-the-top posts such as yours, who have simply abandoned reality and chosen to invent one of your own, by creating imaginary Jim Jones-like supporters and cults of personality, where none exist.
