I’m Not Angry At Donald Trump, I’m Angry At His Supporters
The Matt Walsh Blog ^ | August 10, 2015 | Matt Walsh

I’ve noticed that most of my readers are not Trump fans, and I appreciate that. I love you guys for being reasonable and not falling for this glorified circus elephant. But Trump fans will come out of the woodwork because of my latest piece here, and when they do I want you to notice something: they claim they like Trump’s “blunt and unapologetic” approach, but watch how they react when that blunt and unapologetic strategy is turned against them. Watch what happens when someone is blunt and unapologetic towards them.

This is the first sign that Trump’s legion of admirers aren’t sincere. They say they like his tone — which is already a terrible, horrible, ridiculous reason to elect someone president — but it turns out that they just like his tone when he’s regurgitating their own shallow sentiments.

Trump, of course, is the same way. He claims to be the bold, politically incorrect guy, but he cries like a scrawny bully when anyone punches him back. He’s weak. And that’s what led to the now infamous incident a few days ago, where he attacked Megyn Kelly for asking him tough questions, insinuating that she was on her period.

Trump is a little grey mouse in the room.
Of all the women standing on chairs holding up their dresses, TNMOUTH is the fattest and drowns out all the other panicked ladies with screaming her dammed head off.

Sorry for some typos. Was typing fast. No one is perfect. Including yours truly.

You don’t NEED to start a trade war with Mexico or any other type of war. It isn’t necessary.

How about....

1) Securing the border.
2) Shutting off the magnets.
3) Enforcing EXISTING immigration laws.
4) Ending sanctuary cities.

That would solve at least 90% perhaps 99% of the illegal immigration problem in this country. I know. I live in L.A. The policies of our city and state are ringing the dinner bell for hordes of illegals to flood into our state.

Wow, yet another good answer by a Trump supporter. You prove the authors point beautifully

That’d be a disaster for the presidential campaign, but it’s a long, long way off. I can’t see him doing it unless the GOPe give him VERY good cause. I can’t see them doing that. He’s not enough of a conservative for them to!
But that’s all supposition and people can suppose what they want of course.

Meanwhile there’s no denying the good he’s doing conservatives now. Whether it’s by intent or happenstance.

“He’s stood before courts and argued his case...He has repeatedly been on the wrong side of the GOP establishment. With very little support.”

These are not things that require courage. If you think that’s courage, enlist.

You shut down the magnets and many of those who are here illegally would self deport.

Dear Matt (whoever you are): If it takes a Trump to end the RINO war on the GOP and America, then I’m all for him and his war. We’ve been sold geriatric mediocrities and garden variety mediocrities for decades and all it’s given us is more of the same along with their talking head enablers like yourself. Get rid of the DNC moles like McCain and those of ilk, along with RINO stiffs like Graham and those of his ilk, and I’ll gladly evolve.

So, unless you’ve served in the Military then that disqualifies you from running for President?

Here’s a newsflash. There are a whole bunch of people who never served in the military who are courageous. And plenty of people who serve who are not.

Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe not?

“I don’t trust Trump as far as I could throw him. He’d sell out his mother to make a buck. And he’ll sell out the conservatives of FR for the same reason.”

Well, if he does sell me out, then at least he would have had to con me first.

The pubbie pajama boys want to get my vote without even bothering to lie to me first. I know those eunuchs are not going to do a damned thing to help the country; at least Trump says he will.

Nice try. I am a huge fan of Ted Cruz. But he is not what we need right now, since we need a wrecking ball, more than a principled conservative, since the latter could accomplish nothing in the current environment. But Cruz will make an excellent President in 4-8 years, depending upon how long it takes Trump to drain the swamp.

If Trump were to falter, I would support Cruz 100%, but it would be with regret, since I know it wouldn’t amount to much.

I guess that’s the difference between you and me.

You’re looking for a wrecking ball.

I’m looking for a responsible conservative.

We’re looking for two different things.

If you want a wrecking ball, then yes, DT is the perfect candidate for you. I can’t argue with that.

No comparison. Ross Perot did not enter the GOP primaries and run against George Bush (the sitting president). He just announced himself as a third party candidate, with the intention of spoiling the race from the beginning.

Trump on the other hand, has announced that he is running for president along with a large field of other Republicans who have also announced, and none are running against a sitting president but for an entirely open seat. Why should he, the front funner by a wide margin, not be taken seriously and called a Ross Perot?

By the way, Ronald Reagan did run in the GOP primary against Gerald Ford the sitting GOP president, but did not win. If it was okay for Ronald Reagan to seek the nomination when the sitting President is a Republican, so why is it wrong for Donald Trump to run for president as a republican when there is no republican president in office?

This argument I keep hearing over and over again, that Trump wants to do a third party run really does not make any sense. If Trump just wanted to be another Ross Perot, and spoil the race (throwing it to Hillary) he has the money and fame to resuscitate the USA Party and run as a third party candidate in the first place, and he immediately would have enough of a following to throw the election to the democrats.

He does not need to go through the grueling GOP primary process. Clearly, he wants the GOP nomination if he can win it, and I sincerely he wants to see the important issues addressed that are destroying this country, that the career politicians are passively ignoring or actively supporting.

I for one think a Donald Trump presidency may be our best chance for the power of our party to be returned to the American people, who are after all, the true owners of the Republican party. The ruling elite are out for blood where Donald Trump is concerned, they are most certainly his enemies and if he wins their stranglehold over our party is gone, and there will be no more John McCain, Mitt Romney, or Jeb Bush-type candidates for a very long time.

You miss the big picture. The same people who gave us Dole, McCane, Romney, the republican House leadership and Senate leadership.....who promised that if we did elect them will do away with obamacare, profligate spending, moving ever to the left now demand we take Jeb. Then a fly in ointment....someone who they can not control......who does not need their money. He knows and articulate how pissed off we are after being lied to through 4 presidential election cycles. He tells the world what conservatives are thinking.....we have had it up to here. The Washington Cartel gives to Jeb and gives to Hildabeast. It does not matter to them which one is elected, but it cannot be someone they cannot control....it must not be Trump by their acclamation. He is too unpredictable. He exposes their nefarious means of buying elections, because he has been in the room when they did it. He has done it,.......;and says it is wrong. They will not allow the people to correct this perverse circumstance. Trump is not a conservative....at best he is a moderate...but a moderate who hears the conservatives who have been screwed over these past elections. The Cartel....says eF em. They are also afraid of Ted Cruz and Ben Carson....they cannot be compelled to be unAmerican.....all of the others are going to go along to get along. If you want Hillary ( and it does not make a lot of difference if it is her or Jeb) then run Trump out without a fair hearing and process and watch millions of conservative just not show up for the presidential vote. Because to them, it is proceeding without their voice being heard and they have had it up to their eyeballs.

“So, unless you’ve served in the Military then that disqualifies you from running for President?”

It does not, but it should.

“Here’s a newsflash. There are a whole bunch of people who never served in the military who are courageous. And plenty of people who serve who are not.”

Irrelevant. What is needed is demonstrated courage under fire. Demonstrated, not claimed.

If you associate with brave men, you’ll probably learn to spot them—and to spot the other kind, as well. If you have no such experience, you might not even be able to spot a blatant scumbag like Bill Clinton.

“Maybe I misunderstood. Maybe not?”

Oh, most likely. But let me give you some more ammunition.

Not only should military service be a prerequisite for office, including bureaucracies, it should be the only way to earn the franchise.

That certainly disqualifies a lot of people.

So then everybody that serves in the military is qualified to be President?

Oh, BTW. What percentage of those in the Military actually have been fired upon? Or did you mean something other than what you said?
