Ruth Bader Ginsburg: Americans are ready for marriage equality

The 81-year-old justice discussed the public’s increasing acceptance of gays against the backdrop of resistance by Alabama officials to a federal court order that took effect Monday and made it the 37th gay-marriage state. With the high court set to rule on the issue by June, she said it “would not take a large adjustment” for Americans should the justices say that gay marriage is a constitutional right.

“The change in people’s attitudes on that issue has been enormous,” Ginsburg said. “In recent years, people have said, ‘This is the way I am.’ And others looked around, and we discovered it’s our next-door neighbor — we’re very fond of them. Or it’s our child’s best friend, or even our child. I think that as more and more people came out and said that ‘this is who I am,’ the rest of us recognized that they are one of us.”

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments in April in marriage equality cases from four states — Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and Tennessee — whose same-sex marriage bans were upheld last year by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

A nationwide decision on the constitutionality of state same-sex marriage bans could come by June.

Same-sex marriage is legal in all by [sic] 13 states.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg wants us to line up, bend over, and assume the position.

Forcibly, if required.

Guess that’s why so many Americans voted to keep marriage defined as a union between one woman and one man.

Is she still the chief spokeswoman for Orrin Grant Hatch, or is Hatch still her spokesman?

But of course Ms. Ginsburg would never let her personal views interfere with her decision, and surely wiil decide on the legal merits of the case, no more, no less - - - right.......

“Recusal is only for justices with ethics... you know, our side.”

Actually “our side” voted overwhelmingly to confirm Ginsberg and the Democrats voted 100% for her. There were only 3 Republican no votes - Helms of NC, Nickles of Oklahoma, and Smith of New Hampshire.

McCain, McConnell, Hatch, and other sitting Republican Senators voted to put Ginsberg, the chief legal counsel, for the ACLU on the Supreme Court. No doubt those same senior Republicans will also be standing tall for immigration amnesty and if there is a Supreme Court vacancy in the next two years will gladly support the administration’s far left choice.

I don’t get the whole “notoriety RBG” thing that she has going on. Two of my nieces referred to her as this a few months ago at a family gathering, and I warned my brother that they’re being appealed to by an odd cult of personality surrounding this cryptkeeper-like fossil of a woman.

My statement was based on this article

http://www.bizpacreview.com/2015/01/19/demands-begin-for-ginsburg-kagan-to-recuse-themselves-from-gay-marriage-case-173770

After checking your info I see the article is incorrect.

My error. Thank you for the correction.

People who are supposed to be educated actually asccept those two words together as if they actually say or mean something

hetero men and women are unequal as entities

queers are unequal as decisions

Ginsberg should recuse herself, but she will not.

No two heterosexual marriage is equal, in fact there are plenty of fraudulent areanged fake marriages out there for carious fiscal reasons, and homosexual marriage is another such fraud that also incorporates consented sexual exploitation and other scourges.

basically she could have said America is ready for the slaughter when she supported banning the right to life with abortion.

What type of gloves is she wearing and why?

Looks like something she got at an “Adults Only” store. 50 shades of Ginsburg

Men and women are different. As a man, if I were to ever ask for bodily mutilation and steroids, I would still not be a woman after all of that. I would just be a eunuch on steroids. I doubt I would go through the monthly PMS episodes even. People like Ginsburg are delusional and sick.
