Actually “our side” voted overwhelmingly to confirm Ginsberg and the Democrats voted 100% for her. There were only 3 Republican no votes - Helms of NC, Nickles of Oklahoma, and Smith of New Hampshire.
McCain, McConnell, Hatch, and other sitting Republican Senators voted to put Ginsberg, the chief legal counsel, for the ACLU on the Supreme Court. No doubt those same senior Republicans will also be standing tall for immigration amnesty and if there is a Supreme Court vacancy in the next two years will gladly support the administration’s far left choice.
On that note, the pending Supreme Court decision won’t be decided by Ginsburg, whose “opinion” is predictable, but by the supposedly Catholic and supposedly conservative justices who will bend over.
