Terror Group ISIS Declares Guns Illegal in Parts of Iraq They Control June 16 2014 by Dan Cannon Share This Post

If you’re a terror group attempting a coup of an unstable country what’s the last thing you want to see? Probably citizens gathering and taking up arms against you. You may be able to scare some uniformed members of Iraq’s military who may not believe in their cause anyway, but eventually enough people are going to get fed up, organize, and fight back.

ISIS (The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) looks like they are attempting to nip that in the bud early on. According to The Telegraph, this is one of ISIS’ new laws for the parts of Iraq it now controls [emphasis mine],

Any one of its members who breach this promise will have their hands cut off.

“No drugs, no alcohol and no cigarettes allowed,” it added.

No public gathering other than those organised by ISIS will be allowed at any stage. No guns will be allowed outside of its ranks.

All tribal leaders and sheikhs in the area have been warned not to co-operate with the state.

Isn’t that exactly the type of laws that gun control extremists such as Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer want to see passed in the United States.

ISIS continues to make gains in Iraq as the group has seized abandoned military equipment as well as tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars from regional banks. The group says their goal is to establish an Islamic Caliphate in the area that is currently Iraq and Syria.

“So does Rahm in Chicago”

Rahm Emanuel Asks Critics to Support Chicago-Style Gun Control for Our Nation

During a June 5 appearance on CNN’s The Lead, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel said if critics of his recent gun control push really want to see gun crime diminished they should join together for national gun laws like he is pushing in Chicago.

Host Jack Tapper pointed out that “critics say [the gun control laws Emanuel is] proposing will really not affect the people who are committing gun crimes in Chicago.”

Tapper then asked, “Don’t they have a point? The people who commit these crimes aren’t going to the gun store and guying guns legally, right?”

Instead of answering the question, Emanuel said “no and yes,” talked about being “under court order” to do something other than ban every gun store in the city, and then said:

Iraqi Sunni insurgents seize huge cache of US-made arms and equipment

June 13, 2014

THE fall of the city of Mosul to Iraqi militants has landed them a deadly windfall — a massive cache of US-supplied weapons including vehicles, tanks and helicopters.

The Iraq government forces abandoned their arms and ammunition as they fled the horde of Sunni gunmen streaming into the war-torn nation’s second largest city earlier this week.

Most of that equipment was supplied by the United States.

It was supposed to give Iraqi government forces a technological edge over their tribesman opponents as US troops withdrew following their 2003 invasion.

Much of that edge is now in enemy hands.

Gun-Control Advocate: Snowden, Obamacare Hurt Our Cause

Since the Newtown massacre, Mark Glaze has been the face of the gun-control movement. The executive director of former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s Mayors Against Illegal Guns, Mr. Glaze led the futile 2013 fight for expanded background checks and has been regular on cable news after each successive mass shooting.

And Mr. Glaze said the movement hasn’t solved one of its signature problems: Many mass shootings wouldn’t have been stopped by tighter regulations proposed by gun-control advocates, even if they might have prevented other gun crimes.

“...The Iraq government forces abandoned their arms and ammunition as they fled...”

That’s just disgusting. One group fights, the other runs. And innocent people are caught in the middle.

Eventually, they’ll catch up, no matter where they run to.

Meanwhile, former mayor of New York Michael Bloomberg has sent ISIS his regards and support, acknowledging that they are more “progressive” than the United States.

Sixteen Republican Senators Vote For Cloture On Gun Control Bill

Remember these sixteen names when they run for office again.

The sixteen Republicans who voted to proceed were Sens. Lamar Alexander (Tenn.), Kelly Ayotte (N.H.), Richard Burr (N.C.), Saxby Chambliss (Ga.), Tom Coburn (Okla.), Susan Collins (Maine). Bob Corker (Tenn.), Jeff Flake (Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (S.C.), Dean Heller (Nev.), John Hoeven (N.D.), Johnny Isakson (Ga.), Mark Kirk (Ill.), John McCain (Ariz.), Pat Toomey (Pa.) and Roger Wicker (Miss.).

List courtesy The Hill.com.

As reported by RedState yesterday, this bill would allow doctors to add a person’s name to the national database currently used for background checks, and list them as mentally ill, thus denying them a gun, and doing so without informing the patient or letting them present a defense before their name gets put into the computer.

Pretty much what I said to the tv last night and about the Nigerian girls. It's high time ordinary citizens stand up to these thugs and take back their homes and towns.

ISIS moving seized US tanks, Humvees to Syria

Syrian and Iraqi terrorist forces obtained significant numbers of tanks, trucks, and U.S.-origin Humvees in recent military operations in Iraq and those arms are being shipped to al Qaeda rebels in Syria, according to U.S. officials.

U.S. intelligence agencies reported this week that photos of the equipment transfers were posted online by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL), also known as ISIS, the ultra-violent terror group that broke away from al Qaeda but shares its goals and philosophy.

Pentagon spokesman Cmdr. Bill Speaks confirmed the weapons transfers and expressed concerns about the captured arms.

“We’re aware of reports of some equipment—namely Humvees—and the pictures that have been posted online,” Speaks said in an email. “We are certainly concerned about these reports and are consulting with the Iraqi government to obtain solid confirmation on what assets may have fallen into ISIL’s hands.”
