Fewer people say Obama can govern effectively - he’s neither honest nor trustworthy

Fewer people in the United States have confidence in President Obama as leader of the federal government, with a majority saying he’s neither honest nor trustworthy.

According to a CNN/ORC international poll released Monday, 40 percent said they believe Obama can manage the federal government effectively. That’s a 12-percentage-point-drop since June, and the worst score he received among nine personal characteristics measured in the poll.

"A lot of attention has focused on the president's numbers on honesty in new polling the past three weeks, but it looks like the recent controversy over ObamaCare has had a bigger impact on his status as an effective manager of the government, and that may be what is really driving the drop in Obama's approval rating this fall," CNN Polling Director Keating Holland said.

Obama had to address the "if you like your health insurance, you can keep it" under ObamaCare promise, which he made to people in the run-up to the healthcare law’s passage, and before he was reelected.

Earlier this month, he announced the administration would tweak the law to allow insurance companies to offer policies canceled under the law to be available for one more year.

The poll found 53 percent said Obama is neither honest nor trustworthy—the first time a majority has held those views.

Recent polls have also found similar results. A Gallup poll last week indicated half of the public believes the president is honest and trustworthy. A CBS News poll said 49 percent felt that way, which was down from 60 percent just before he was reelected in 2012.

While the new CNN poll indicates fewer people have confidence in Obama, 60 percent said he has a vision for the country, and 70 percent said he’s likeable. Those were the best ratings Obama received in the survey.

The Media find him likable.

He’s been in there for five years and hasn’t done any governing, at least according to him.

Too many are afraid to say, even to a pollster, “I don’t like him”, because of the racial implications.

I never understood how anyone found him likable. He is haughty, arrogant , stand offish, and whistles through his teeth when he talks. He has the cadence of a Baptist Minister and constantly talks down to people and speaks poorly of both enemy and friend alike.

Never liked him, never understood how anyone would.

70 percent said he’s likeable.

A likeable liar. Does not compute. But then, people still like Bill Xlinton.

Yeah, I know.

But in these times, it is standard “Racist Protection”
It proves you aren’t racist, you know.

As American citizens use their own eyes, ears, and family experiences to observe, first hand, the actual destruction of their freedoms by the deceitful and deliberate efforts of a President to accumulate power and privilege for himself and his cronies, they will react at the next election opportunity.

Most have been "asleep" to the real dangers of his ideology, but they are awakening, and the so-called "mainstream" media's complicity in his deceit may not be able to overpower the "new" methods of circulation of the ideas of freedom, as stated in America's Declaration of Independence, incorporated into "the People's" Constitutional limits on their government, and explained in "THE FEDERALIST." Technology may have outsmarted so-called "progressives" who thought they had sufficiently dumbed down the populace through their censorship of textbooks and public discourse, of the Founders' ideas, as well as their domination of that thing known as "mainstream" media.

In 1839, John Quincy Adams, who was Age 9 when the Declaration was adopted, 20 when the Constitution was framed, and served in various government offices, including that of President, was invited by the New York Historical Society to deliver the "Jubilee" Address honoring the 50th Anniversary of the Inauguration of George Washington. He delivered that lengthy discourse which should be read by all who love liberty, for it traced the history of the development of the ideas underlying and the actions leading to the establishment of the Constitution which structured the United States government. His 50th-year summation seems to be a better source for understanding the kind of government the Founders formed than those of recent historians and politicians. He addresses the ideas of "democracy" and "republic" throughout, but here are some of his concluding remarks:

"Every change of a President of the United States, has exhibited some variety of policy from that of his predecessor. In more than one case, the change has extended to political and even to moral principle; but the policy of the country has been fashioned far more by the influences of public opinion, and the prevailing humors in the two Houses of Congress, than by the judgment, the will, or the principles of the President of the United States. The President himself is no more than a representative of public opinion at the time of his election; and as public opinion is subject to great and frequent fluctuations, he must accommodate his policy to them; or the people will speedily give him a successor; or either House of Congress will effectually control his power. It is thus, and in no other sense that the Constitution of the United States is democratic - for the government of our country, instead of a Democracy the most simple, is the most complicated government on the face of the globe. For a quick review of those principles and your nation's first 50 years under its Constitution, consult John Quincy Adams' "Jubilee" Address here, or a recent reprint of a 1987 Bicentennial collection of the Founders' principles, here.

James Madison stated:

"Although all men are born free, slavery has been the general lot of the human race. Ignorant—they have been cheated; asleep—they have been surprised; divided—the yoke has been forced upon them. But what is the lesson? ... the people ought to be enlightened, to be awakened, to be united, that after establishing a government, they should watch over it ... It is universally admitted that a well-instructed people alone can be permanently free."

This poll shows that about 40% of the respondents are neither honest nor trustworthy.

He’s black, or brown.

Not liking him is racism.

How could someone find Obama likeable if they didn't trust him?

The media/ Democrat voter anthem

On the first page of our story
The future seemed so bright
Then this thing turned out so evil
don’t know why I’m still surprised
Even angels have their wicked schemes
And you take that to new extremes
But you’ll always be my hero
Even though you’ve lost your mind

[Chorus]
Just gonna stand there and watch me burn
But that’s all right because I like the way it hurts
Just gonna stand there and hear me cry
But that’s all right because I love the way you lie
I love the way you lie
Ohhh, I love the way you lie

They don’t know what Communism is so they can’t recognize a Communist when they see one.

Besides, discernment is foreign to most people.

The dumbing down of America has been quite effective.
