In light of a tragedy like the shooting at Newton yesterday, the immediate reaction of conservatives is to mourn and offer our sympathies and prayers for the victims. The immediate reaction of liberals is to politicize the issue.
When we are engaged in a war for our freedom, we cannot allow the left simply dominate the narrative while we act as decent human beings.
There is one simple truth here. Guns were not responsible for what happened yesterday. Liberals were.
How?
The school at Newton like schools everywhere was declared “gun free” zones.
Why don’t we just put up a big sign here that says, “DEFENESLESS TARGETS IN THIS BUILDING!”
The left has succeeded in pushing gun control and the end result has been perfectly predictable. Everywhere gun control is imposed, violent crime rises. Washington DC has some of the most draconian gun control laws around. It is also racked with violent crime. Ditto Nanny State Queen Michael Bloomberg’s hellhole called New York City. Citizens are defenseless but criminals didn’t get the memo. They sill have guns.

I agree. I find knee-jerk liberal accusations against conservatives in such circumstances distasteful as well.

Ah, another Freeper doing his best to make us look crazy.
Unfortunately, as great a president as Ronald Reagan was - he is the one who shut down the mental health hospitals and hospitals for the criminally insane. From my research, it actually cost less to run these facilities than it does for all the “feel good” programs out there. Many who were released when the hospitals closed, ended up homeless or in jail. Many commit minor crimes so that they get what they call “3 hots and a cot,” for the winter months. The jails are also now serving as mental health coordinators.
Sorry, Mr. Reagan - this was one policy that wasn’t good for this nation.
We have a growing group connected to government employment (unions) and on the dole (the long term unemployed, those constantly on welfare, almost all those from over the border here to access the system or have a baby to access our system).
To all these above, suggesting we have lower taxes and a smaller government without endless pensions or dole doesn’t sound sane.
These same people knowing there is a problem in our country will still vote the dole, big pensions and so forth knowing the country is flying off the cliff in debt.
There is no critical rational thinking to those who have their hand in our Treasury and in the pay checks and wallets of our citizens that earned their money.
How do we fight this injustice and cancer to our country’s solvency? This is the question of the day because a big chunk of the electorate don’t get it.
I remember that. We were broke even then.
If you add up the number of children shot this year in Obama’s hometown I am certain that it would be over a hundred.

Obama's remarks after the murders in Newtown were nothing but stagecraft. The fake tears, the catch in his voice and his reference to "scripture" (as he phrased it) were another reflection of his utter loathing for real American values. It's not a stretch to believe that the Marxist Muslim actually delights in such events since they provide a platform for he, Holder and the rest of the corrupt regime to enact rules that restrict gun ownership. And, as we saw yesterday, fewer guns lead only to more senseless deaths.
Maybe the movie "The Snake Pit" sould be viewed once more.

Bingo. As with everything else the media is spouting. It will take a little while to get the basic facts.
Your right, they thought individual rights and personal responsibility are insane ideas. I worked with a public employee union for many years and got to know how radical they are; it’s scary. BTW, I did their finances and was not involved in their activities and they paid well so that’s why I stayed, at least until I couldn’t take it anymore.

Without quotes the question could be asked, Are gun control advocates taking advantage of the gun violence that is resulting from too much mind-altering prescription drugs and doing nothing about the drugs?
IMO beyond that some are indeed extreme and left wing agenda driven.
And yes Obama's buddy Ayers, et al. talked about the need to kill 60 million (I think that was the number) Americans to get what they wanted.
Hillary openly praised Alinsky.. and Bill loathed the American military as he demonstrated against it behind the Iron Curtain.

Islam is the behind the scene motivator, liberals just support their socialist agenda. Right now islam and liberals or the democrats of America have formed an alliance.
A deadly alliance that many are fearful of, and nobody has found a way to fight it, all you have in the equation now is individuals with a misguided sense of retribution against evil, which is isla, Obama, Obamacare and the liberal agenda.
But how to take out their anger? They then just find any target, any soft target, and the liberals have created soft targets all across America.
Impeach or arrest Obama, ban Islam, arm everybody. Our enemies see our weakness and will come soon, it won’t be just one school shooting, it will be dozens all at once across America.
I am suggesting that anybody genuinely thinking along these lines is "nuts".
And my union coworkers rejoiced when Reagan passed away. I was heartbroken and appalled at their actions. They didn’t even lower the flag. One of their main talking points was that he shut down the mental hospitals. Of course, that meant less gov’t jobs and that’s what upset them.
The liberals that offered prayers yesterday are the same ones who took God out of schools. Ironic, hey?

Our government IS responsible for the moral decay of our society. Liberalism has destroyed the basis upon a moral society rests. Check out the TV, movie industry, mass media and our wonderful gaming industry. The government, they are the people this society ha put in place. We are witnessing the collapse of this country, over 70 years of the drip, drip of progressive action has put us over the top and we are now sliding down the far side.
