Crying about what happened can make Limbaugh and others feel better, but now is the time to count pitchforks and see what our next move is. CNN gets 52% AGAINST this deal, so we have a good start. My next move is NOT giving up. Woe is me aint me.

Except that the Tea Party Senators voted against this bill.

Hell, I’m demanding redemption and removing the ringleader (Boehner) is a great place to start.

They better all start doing some serious cutting independent of this debt ceiling bill.

Me too, coach. Getting a little sick of people who think that you can change anything with one House election. As I recall, it took the Dems two elections, one of them a presidential election, to win the House, Senate, and presidency---all filled with their version of "Tea Party" radicals, and with total majorities and EVEN THEN their mischief was limited. Yes, they got Obamacare and spending, but did NOT get "fairness," didn't get "card check," did not get "illegal immigration/Dream Act."

So what is needed is a 70% supermajority (to cushion against the weak-kneed and linguini-spined people) in both houses of Tea Party types.

Relax, Rush will be back on board when there’s a Republican in the White House again. Same debt, same deficit, same spending, same Big Government...but the R next the President’s name will make all the difference in the world for Rush.

Rush is on a roll today. He called Obama "a jackass". That was pretty cool. It is obvious that Limbaugh is fed up and he is talking about it.

I'm not saying Rush is always right, he has said that Rick Perry is a conservative. Perry IS NOT!

But, Limbaugh is a smart guy and today he has been on the money. In fact, today has been one of the days I have listened to Limbaugh and he makes me think of Will Rogers.

Rush Limbaugh is an American treasure. He has changed the way information is provided to the public and in doing so created a whole industry on AM radio where there was not one before. He is a fine example of American grit and ingenuity that shows that one person can get rich in America by using their brains.

The most amazing thing about Limbaugh is that he is in a business that is 100% driven by sound, yet he is totally deaf.

RE :"He knows everything so he can’t be wrong can he?"

Rush has been wrong before more than a few times, a big one was in 1995 over the Newt/Clinton shutdown, He had to spin that one for years.

He sounded up for the same here but no way are Boehner/McConnell going to take those risks, they were TARP pushers.

“coach” doesn’t seem to be bright enough to understand Rush, which explains his appeal to a few of the dimmer bulbs here on FR.

Why do you think I call DC the District of Criminals?

Something that people are going to have to realize is that our politicians are a bunch of con-artists and they are taking on this train ride that is going to result in a train wreck that is going to bring the whole financial house of cards down on the whole world. It isn’t if just when. The problem can’t be fixed because it is well beyond the point of repair even with double-digit GDP growth.

I think Rush realizes it and is a bit overwhelmed by it so give him a chance to get over that. He put his trust in government to certain point and now he has been disappointed by them.

Been listening and think it means Obamageddon is at the doorstep as a result of the caving and agreeing to borrow another $2T without cutting anything. The inevitable is upon us regardless of anything else that goes on.

I’ve been saying America is over for a while now. I’ll get flamed, but that is my take on things.

Yes, we need to keep fighting on that small chance that the middle-class liberals will wake up and become Conservatives, but I’m not banking on it.

KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT, but at the same time, I really belive the American experiment has ebbed and is inevitably sliding toward socialism.

Half of the voters are on the take, and that is the reason for my conclusion. They will accelerate voting themselves largesse from the public treasury. Many of them are women who will always vote for security over liberty. Not all women who vote that way are among the throngs of non-producing takers. There are many successful liberal women who continue to vote themselves into bondage if it means increasing apparent security.

Every person 40 years and younger has been through government schools that are mainly socilist and indoctrinated students into loving socialism. They don’t even teach US history in the schools anymore.

Add in a huge influx of non-assimilating immigrants who care only for their financial freedom but want socilized medicine and every other form of entitlement.

Add that up.

Add up all of the people on a government paycheck directly, add all the children successfully brainwashed in government schools, add in the unassimilated immigrants and illegals, and top that off with business leaders that don’t give a rats ass if they make their profits in the USA or abroad.

I added that up and I came to the inescapable conclusion that we have already passed the tipping point toward hard Socialism. It won’t be really long before we become Italy - maybe 2 full generations.

I won’t stop fighting but it is just a rear-guard delaying action now. The socialists have won. All they have to do is keep up the pressure and wait. Their diamond is baked into the cake.

Sorry to be pessimistic but I know where all this is going. We are screwed. They liberals screwed your great-grandchildren who won’t know but a fraction of your freedom or quality of life. Damn those liberals to hell all you want but you can’t change reality.

I get on my knees and thank the Lord I was born in 1958 and not later, and I knew the freedom and glory of America in its late days and not after the socialist take-over.

If the continuance of our Republic is dependent upon Rush we are in very bad shape. But, fortunately (or unfortunately), it now and always has depended upon the People.

It is the People that have put this nation where it is (good and bad) and if it is to continue it will be the People who enable it to do so. Only the People can recognize its mistakes and rectify them.

Rush has been using at least three deceptive and valid arguments/analogies against any deal: 1) the alleged lack of need for “victors” to compromise; 2) inflating the result of putting a few more conservatives in the House; and 3) the idea of 2010 being some sort of final or decisive victory.

He is acting as if taking back the House gave us the whole show like Ike conquering Germany. It is a totally different thing not at all comparable.

We had a landslide victory, particularly in the states, but that does not (as in a parliamentary system) give us total control of the national government. Our government is not designed to change rapidly and on the turn of a dime. It is NOT a pure democracy.

There was no final victory in 2010 like in the Super Bowl. No winner take all kind of deal. Rather, we won the first quarter but the game is not over and not assured. Only by showing the patience and persistence of the Left can we win the game. The danger, which Rush is fanning, is that we become disillusioned and turn against the Tea Party and the GOP and allow Urkel another term.

I might take the writer a little more seriously with his whiney `And Rush is always right!` line if he didn`t call himself `coach is right.`

I was so startled by how Rush`s Monday show sounded so off and misguided that I realized how often Rush has a thought-provoking and original point of view.

So he`s had a couple of down days--big deal. Limbaugh has been putting on a great show for 20+ years--I couldn`t even get beyond the excerpt of this guy`s piece for the whining about Rush`s supposed whining. When `coachisright` has been consistently original and informed for a couple of decades, maybe I`ll be able to get through one whole piece he`s written, but I doubt it.

Baseline Budgeting, 1974 Budget Act of NIXON== it must be repealed. THERE is something that would have stopped ALL of this BS cold.

This act is the reason we got kabuki theater lies from Boehner and McConnell. McCain- he’s still in hanoi and treating for favors with his jailers in dem party. Very sad.

Coach is WRONG that is not what Rush said. Coach needs to clean the sh*t out of his ears. Obviously not a Rush fan because if he did listen today or any other day he would know that Rush has been fighting the good fight for many many years. He is not crying, he is frustrated over COMPROMISING something Republicans do on a regular basis and democrats NEVER do. COMPROMISE is what got us into this mess in the first place. It’s time to wake up AMERICA!
