Why do you think I call DC the District of Criminals?
Something that people are going to have to realize is that our politicians are a bunch of con-artists and they are taking on this train ride that is going to result in a train wreck that is going to bring the whole financial house of cards down on the whole world. It isn’t if just when. The problem can’t be fixed because it is well beyond the point of repair even with double-digit GDP growth.
I think Rush realizes it and is a bit overwhelmed by it so give him a chance to get over that. He put his trust in government to certain point and now he has been disappointed by them.
Regardless of what Rush says - America, as we knew it, has been over for sometime now. There are only two choices: Live it, moving with the flow or moving to another country (Where, I don’t know. America is the last bastion of freedom in the world. Maybe Mars ?) Or we can fight it.
This budget thing just means that a loaf of bread will suddenly cost 15 trillion dollars instead of 2 trillion dollars, when it happens. It will mean violence in the streets, and a reduced security in our daily lives... At some point.
As a dry run, I took a spin out last night in my town, which had just suffered a wide-spread power failure. A very dark place, indeed. Complete and utter pandemonium. This is where we are heading. Darkness, with riots, looters and mobs of people behaving like wild dog packs to get what they want.
Our America has been dead for awhile. The real choice is what is going to fill it’s void: Another Constitutionally backed, judeo-christian capitalist example of freedom, or an oppressed Sharia-leaning marxist / socialist dictatorship from which there is no escape.
We are on our way to the latter.
NO he didn't and NO he wasn't!
Rush doesn't trust the current government one iota....and all last week he WARNED us every day how the House and Senate would betray us, so he wasn't in the least "disappointed" about the two votes. Just disgusted.
I don't know what's wrong with some of you folks. I listened to every word of Rush today.....and, while he's PO'd, he didn't say he's giving up the good fight. He made a lot of pointed statements for the sake of emphasis, parody, satire, irony and warning ....but only fools will take any of these out of context as any indication that this twenty-some-years veteran of the leftist wars is quitting the battlefield because of the debt issue.
In fact, I felt quite lifted after his show today because he explained things about the country's economic situation in a fact-filled way that showed me he knew what the hell he was talking about....plus what we're in store for. And he willingly gave us the benefit of his knowledge by sharing it with us for three solid, rapid-fire hours.
What other host or pundit is doing ditto?
Leni
Rush trusting the government? What planet are you from and what are you smoking? Get a grip!
