Me too, coach. Getting a little sick of people who think that you can change anything with one House election. As I recall, it took the Dems two elections, one of them a presidential election, to win the House, Senate, and presidency---all filled with their version of "Tea Party" radicals, and with total majorities and EVEN THEN their mischief was limited. Yes, they got Obamacare and spending, but did NOT get "fairness," didn't get "card check," did not get "illegal immigration/Dream Act."

So what is needed is a 70% supermajority (to cushion against the weak-kneed and linguini-spined people) in both houses of Tea Party types.

Guess you have not figured out as yet that the ballot box along with the soap box and the jury box just do not work. A very smart fellow by the name of Albert Einstein once said that doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result is INSANITY. So to all of you naive fools and your claims that 2012 is going to be different all I can do now is to laugh. How many more times do you have to be kicked in the head before you see? If you do not agree with me I do not care so do not bother replying. Today I am a husband and a father and will do what I need to do, however distateful, to provide for my family. Several months ago I laughed at the young guy at the job I used to have about his naivety about the effect that the 2010 election was to have and I am laughing at anyone who is STUPID AND NAIVE enough to believe that anything will change even with a republican super-majority. Ha! They were such dedicated Constitutionalists and Conservatives the last time these closet scum-bags controlled the three branches of government. Some people just like to be used over and over again. This time count me out as I can no longer stand the stink of decay from this once great nation.

I’m sure Rush feels the same way a lot of people do right now and he’s only human to be frustrated and say something he probably doesn’t mean like moving out of the country? I too have this feeling that even though Boener and the House tried their damnedest, we still got shafted by the Dem’s (the devil is in the details) It feels like an anti-climactic ending to probably the most critical moment in our nations history...if they downgrade the AAA rating...it WILL be the end of America as we new it. They should have cut more. I was hoping it would fail in the Senate. Watch the Dem’s and Harry Reid spin it into a victory for them, making the GOP & the Tea Party look like idiots with the lame-stream media rolling with it.

You are the expert in American history here and I am sure that you can elaborate, for those who do not know, how the government is set up so that it CANNOT change overnight or on a dime. This is a persistent problem here in that people (Rush acts like he does not know better) immediately start attacking the GOP for not being dictators.

What is happening is much like someone condemning the 300 because they did not destroy the entire Persian army.

"Getting a little sick of people who think that you can change anything with one House election"

Rush has said plenty of times that it will take more than one election, so don't put false words in his mouth.

I agree. More RINOs and Democrats need to be sent to the unemployment line. The Tea Party doesn’t even have a majority in the GOP yet, much less the government.

Am getting tired of the folks who want to throw over one of their elected officials because of one or two votes that they don't like. None of this mess is going to get fixed with one, two, or even three budget deals. Just like losing weight in middle age. It probably took 30 years to put the weight on, it will take some time to get it off so that it STAYS off!

Instead of getting our knickers in a twist and voting out folks who just got elected the last time, because of one or two votes you don't like, give them a chance to get some legislation that THEY helped craft, so they CAN vote for something that will be useful. Work hard to get them re-elected, and bring another couple of Tea Party folks along in other districts. We need larger numbers in BOTH houses, but especially in the Senate. The Tea Party candidates need to be of good quality, as well, so they won't spend all their time talking about pecadilloes or stupid decisions in their pasts, and not be able to get out their messages of smaller government and economic growth.

We really need to start thinking strategically, long-term, and plan to do things incrementally. That's how the libs got THEIR programs in place. They didn't try to do it all at once; they couldn't have gotten them approved, had they done that. They had patience, and they stuck together. They didn't scream and yell about ideological purity, and fight publicly against their own. That's not to say that we shouldn't go up against the GOP Establishment, but we don't need to feed the MSM's delight in their attempts to split Republicans so that even the Independents won't consider voting for the Repub. candidate in 2012. Don't play into their hands!

You know what’s bizarre? The left wing websites are going bonkers today. They hate Obama nearly as much as freepers. They talk about how he was completely dazzled and befuddled by the GOP and how he acquiesced to the Tea Party.

We live in very, very strange times.

I have to wonder, though. If the left is this ticked off, then maybe it wasn’t as bad as it “could” have been....that’s putting the bar pretty low, for sure. But still....
