Army Birther Doc’s Lawyer: ‘Mounting Evidence’ Obama an Illegal Alien (Barf Alert)

This is just plain nuts. Lt. Col. Terry Lakin, a highly-decorated Army surgeon, with 18-years of service behind him, is willingly throwing his career and reputation away, because be believes in the birther conspiracy nonsense that President Obama is not a natural born citizen. The Army has instituted court martial proceedings against him for refusing to obey deployment orders to Afghanistan, which Lakin says are illegal orders from an illegal alien. The birther doctor appeared on CNN’s Anderson Cooper’s 360 program Friday evening with his lawyer. And the interview soon turn heated, as Cooper attempted to inject some fact-based reality into the conversation.

Lakin’s lawyer Paul Jensen, obtained by the birther conspiracy groups American Patriot Foundation/Safeguard Our Constitution, continually jumped in to answer Cooper’s questions posed to Lakin. The basis of Jensen’s arguments all center on his rejection of Obama’s Certificate of Live birth issued by the state of Hawaii. He contends it’s not proof of Obama’s birth in the United States, because it’s merely an “abstract” of the original document on file. Lakin through his lawyer, is demanding to see the original document.

Jensen couldn’t explain Obama’s two birth notices in local Hawaii newspapers. And he refuses to accept the determination made by the Republican governor of Hawaii, who examined the original birth certificate on file, declaring it valid.

Despite all of the evidence to the contrary, Jensen falsely declared there was “mounting evidence” that Obama is an illegal alien.

When Cooper asked Lakin if he believes that all members of the military from Hawaii are also illegal aliens and not eligible to serve, he mumbled something about the President being required to be a “natural born citizen”

After Jensen continued to jump in with his birther conspiracy theories, Cooper asked: “Can the colonel not talk for himself? The guy’s an adult.”

Finally, Lakin offered a general response, explaining why he is subjecting himself to a court martial:

“It’s a fundamental of the Constitution, and my oath of office is to the Constitution, and I believe we need truth on this matter.”

The remainder of the interview is being shown tonight. What a truly sad and pathetic spectacle.

> If I have to choose between agreeing with Rush, Ann, Michelle, and Sarah

Go back and listen to Rush ... he's let listeners know he has doubts, he just doesn't jump up and down about it to save Mr Snerdley grief in call screening from boneheads like you.

So has Hannity and Sarah. Beck has too on occasion, but sees it mostly as a distraction ... at least until Conservatives take over Congress in November and are then in a position to do something about it.

Michelle has doubts, too ... that is, Michelle Obama:
“Obama home country is Kenya”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk3OMRqO7aY

So does members of the Kenyan Parliament in November 2008, when Obama was referred to (among other things) as "a Kenyan ruling the USA" and "the son of this soil".

And again the Kenyan Parliament in March 2010, when James Orengo in open session of the Kenya Parliament flatly admits that Barack Obama was born in Kenya.

However, like most partisan Liberals, you believe ... only what you want to believe.

Galileo had had similar issues when he said the earth revolved around the sun.

The majority agreed he had tinfoil hat. It was established fact that he earth was the center of the universe.

If we look at the evidence, the sole purpose of the NBC clause was to exclude those who had foreign allegiance. Obama inherited Kenyan citizenship. Electing him president did not change the fact that he's not an NBC.

As a child, I was convinced that the the earth was the center of the universe, and from my perspective it was a fact. I was also convinced that Obama was vetted and must be an NBC. Until I read of Vattel and the historian David Ramsay, I was a believer. But not now.

We can pretend the sun revolves around the earth and that Obama is an NBC even though we have knowledge to disprove both assertions. It keeps people content and happy, and avoids riots, prison, and declarations of insanity.

After Obama is gone from office, leaving a wake of disaster, we can begin to publicly accept that we was not qualified as the danger to speak of his fraud will be gone.

I still think he should have taken care of the soldiers in the field first.

He did and he was still taking care of them at home and could still be if your Usurper in Chief would just produce his bona fides.

He has stated that he is willing to go to Afghanistan or wherever -- but only under a legal order, an order from a legal Article II Commander in Chief.

Is that asking too much from the supposed leader of a Constitutional Republic???

Brilliant!

You did fail to explain, however, how disagreeing with the
birther claptrap makes one an Obama supporter.

I’m genuinely interested in knowing how that works.

Or is it just a knee-jerk reaction based on frustration?

Many lay down their lives for freedom and are only an asterisk in the history books. I am thankful for them.

Amen. Just check out the asterisks in those national cemeteries whose sacrifices enabled others to live. We the living owe the asterisks of history, and regardless of the outcome, we will be indebted to LTC Lakin.

“And at his court martial he will have a chance to show why the order of his brigade commander wasn't lawful. How's he going to do that?”

By demonstrating that he took an oath to the constitution, and not a Kenyan born citizen. That it is in fact unlawful for a Kenyan born citizen to command the Army. They will then either choose to allow discovery, or refuse to hear his arguments, strike them from the record, and jail him for heresy. Laken will then sue in a civil court for lost pension and benefits, and may prevail as he will not have a General as judge while trying to maintain discipline in the ranks and not be accused of treason. We may yet see the army dismiss Mr. Laken without stripping him of his benefits so that they can avoid a civil hearing as well.

Totally irrelvant to the charge of disobeying the order of his brigade commander.

They will then either choose to allow discovery, or refuse to hear his arguments, strike them from the record, and jail him for heresy.

Probably the second one.

Laken will then sue in a civil court for lost pension and benefits...

Sue who? Obama? Lakin will lack standing to sue him. Sue the army? He will have been convicted by court martial, he'll have no grounds to sue just because he's been convicted.

I think not.

The man is intelligent enough to know what is probably going to happen, so I believe yes, it is too much to ask in this case. I think he should be in the field where the army needed him in the first place, otherwise, they wouldn’t have issued his orders.

And beating your head against a wall over something you can do nothing about is.. what?

what explains the absence of rational thought in your posts.

I just bet you are ...

Michelle Obama: "Barack Obama, a Kenyan"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnS7L8mnOo0
(at 2 minute mark)

Michelle Obama: "his [Obama's] home country in Kenya”
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk3OMRqO7aY

Obama is "a Kenyan ruling the USA" and "the son of this soil"
(Kenyan Parliament in November 2008).

James Orengo: "how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America?" (Kenyan Parliament in March 2010).

Now, run along and find some Yahoo or MSM thread to try to troll ...
because your lies and bullsh!t just isn't working here today.

Awww, did Post 126 hurt your little feelings and you had to report it to the Mod? Don't worry ... it's archived as it's quite fitting, especially considering the character assassinations YOU do here on a daily basis.

Here's the post again, but without the last paragraph that obviously struck a nerve with you:

> My word.. you ARE a complete idiot, aren’t you?

Good job! Going right down the list, aren't you?
That would be Rule #5 from Alinsky Rules for Radicals:

5. "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage."
Sticks and stones, right back at ya.
Oh, hey ... you forgot to call me Racist, too. LOL

Answer the question, junior. Shall I repeat it for you?

How does disagreeing with the birther claptrap make one an Obama supporter?

Since you believe this, it should be easy for you to answer.

Got an answer?

Sure, how would YOU be judged under UCMJ Article 104 (Aiding the enemy)?

The answer is self evident.

None of the people mentioned have EVER suggested that Obama is disqualified by his father’s citizenship. None. Ever.

You act as though folks didn’t know this BEFORE the election!

They did. And no one needs to see a birth certificate to know it. But not one state, not Rush, or Ann, or Michelle, or Beck, or ANYONE has suggested Obama is disqualified by his father being Kenyan.
