The Broad Perspective on the Growing Outrage in America
Columbia Conservative Examiner ^ | June 11, 2009 | Anthony G. Martin

An ill wind is blowing in America. Ordinary citizens from coast to coast are feeling a growing sense of outrage over what they are witnessing in Washington. At least one talk radio host states that the rage he is hearing from his listeners indicates that trouble is brewing beneath the surface that could erupt into the streets, not in violence, but in peaceful protest that sends a signal to Washington.

“My husband and I attended a simulcast presentation of Glenn Beck’s Common Sense Comedy Tour about ten days ago. The theater was sold-out, and yet the audience responses to Beck’s call-to-arms was lukewarm, at best. I hope it was otherwise in other locations.”

Spirited: Many people are, as betty said, afraid of speaking up. Many more are adrift in a sea of peculiar ideas, myths, lies, and in short...mental and spiritual confusion. Some, like Episcopal Bishop Swing, call themselves Republicans even as they hold their arms up in worship to Hecate. Others call themselves conservatives but believe themselves an emergent product of evolution ascending the progressive escalator up, up, up...to what? Oneness with The Force?

America was founded on a unique set of immutable presuppositions, starting with, “In the beginning God...” and moving directly to a distinctly Christian view of man, universal moral law, and nature’s law. Firmly grounded on these unique ideas, America was called by de Tocqueville the freest, most enlightened civilization in the long history of man.

Today however, Americans for the most part are either floundering in ignorance with regard to our founding or in outright rebellion against it.

Thats what I see also..
America generally have become eye rolling droolers..
With huge gaps in knowledge of American History and Civics..

Probably because public education goes way out its way to NOT TEACH and/or encourage learning those two subjects..

In school (many years ago) I hated American History and wondered why they even taught it..

NOW I know why it was taught.. It was to keep me from becomeing Obamafied.. or fall for progressive recessive gambits..

The Progressives murdered multi millions in the last century and made many more millions miserable..

This century they seem to be postureing to liquidate BILLIONS.. The poor muslims have no idea of who they are dealing with.. A measly few nukes could make the muslim religion a rare thing.. They(muslims) are playing with fire.. cozying up with the progressives(socialists)..

[ Negative commentary does nothing to bolster the resolve and courage of those who read here, and likely causes some to be less firm in what little resolve and certainty they do have. ]

Sooo it seems you want to "trick" somebody into being positive?..
John McLaim tricked very few.. but he did trick some(RINOS)..

Until America looks the present situation in the face..
There is no chance of proposing a workable tactic..
America needs to "handle the truth".. lock and load..
And get busy..

"These people" will not just "leave" their positions.. until they are driven out..
Its a little late for an email crusade..

I completely agree with everything you said there.

This is exactly the correct focus for American patriots, in my view.

My only comment on that would be to replace the word "America" with "I".

Waiting around for that great mythical "somebody" could be a Tombstone Assignment. Particularly in a situation like this.

As far as my approach, my first response was tongue-in-cheek. A bit on the snarky side, but not intended to insult. I think it was plenty gentle.

Snarky?

0's message is replete with the positive and the upbeat. Tragically it is based on nothing but his own narcissism.

Hosepipe is correct. Unless we face squarely the awful truth of 0's presidency and its tragic consequences for our nation we will not be able to even begin to deal with the mess we are in.

You may feel that his is demoralizing commentary. I view it as clear headed truth telling.

Here is the statement that I first responded to, and which I saw as demoralizing:

we(america) are/is screwed.. "We" waited too long..

I've agreed with some of hosepipe's subsequent statements to me, but this is the one that got us started.

Agreed. It all begins with each individual's decision to stand and fight.

We now know that over 220 million - that’s 220 MILLION - people have been killed by their own governments since the beginning of the 20th century. . . . As our friend Lurker has said — there’s only one way this can end. . . .

I definitely take your point, dear Noumenon. Still it seems to me we do not have legitimate recourse to our Second Amendment rights until it is very clear that all attempts to "restore the public order" via our First Amendments rights have been exhausted and/or utterly repressed.

Plus remember "who did what to whom" at Lexington and Concord, and in what order. I would argue the Brits brought the war to us; i.e., we did not START it. From the Colonial point of view, it was defensive from the first. We were not the aggressors. But when the Brits let it be known that they were marching on Concord and Lexington for the express purpose of disarming the Colonials, they hit the wall, big-time. The Colonials stood on their rights as natural free men (not to mention then-British subjects, and thus entitled to all the rights and privileges of Englishmen, notably preeminently including — since the Magna Carta IIRC — the right of free men to keep and bear arms), and simply replied: "Molon Labe!!! Come and get 'em (if you can)!!!"

A defensive war is almost always a just war under Just War Theory.

The time is not yet. Or so it seems to me.

Another thing to think about: a society is not a machine — it's not a collection of parts moving according to some inexorable and irreversible chain of cause and effect. (Though I imagine Left progressives think of it that way; which could yet prove to be their Achilles Heel). Rather, it is probably one of the most dynamic "systems" in Nature. Meaning: The future is not cast in stone. New elements are always entering into the picture that have the power of shifting the course of events in ways that one would not be expecting from a "mechanistic picture" of the situation.

Take a look at what's happening in IRAN of all places. Did any of us expect that? Talk about a "new element" in the picture! And oh, we need to pay very close attention to what's going on over there, particularly WRT the "guerrilla cyber-warfare" being waged. Under the Marxist Meat Puppet, something like this could well be in our future. (Unless he comes to his senses first; but I wouldn't hold my breath....)

Shifting gears, a main problem seems to be that many if not most of the American people do not know their Constitutional rights or how to exercise them effectively. Generally I'm referring to their First Amendment protections against usurpatory government — which so described is but an "abstraction" of a real condition that people will ultimately be made to feel, when they have to give their assent to being enslaved by the State. As in a loyalty oath of some kind. (Doesn't pass First Amendment muster right there.)

And so I'm collecting a "little list" of completely Constitutional things that Patriots can do to throw a "monkey wrench into the works."

So far, I've come up with two items:

(1) Understand your role and rights as a juror.

(2) There's a census coming up next year. Think about how you will choose to respond to it.

Oh, RE: (2). I well remember the last census, in 2000. Some really unsavory character came into my home and started asking me a whole lot of personal questions, such as: my race, my gender, my financial condition, how many toilets I had, etc., etc. I said to myself, "the hell with that!" The Constitutional purpose of the decenniel census is for congressional apportionment purposes only. In other words, it's supposed to be a simple "head count."

So, I stood on my rights, and gave the jerk the headcount figure, refusing to answer all other questions. He looked at me in total disbelief. He resisted my choice. But finally, I was able to get him to leave my home.

Warning to anyone who decides to do this next time around. Evidently, in all its wisdom, the Marxist Meat Puppet Mob has decided to impose a fine of $5,000 on any American who will not disclose all the "required information."

Must stop for now — I'm thinking about this stuff all the time, and need all the help I can get. Especially for ideas for the "First Amendment To-Do" list proposed above. We need all the good ideas we can get to cheerfully and vigorously assert our role as members of the Sovereign People. Thus to restrain and constrain the Beast Leviathan as much as we can, whenever we can.

May God ever bless you, Noumenon and Lurker, and "give thee Light."

we(america) are/is screwed.. “We” waited too long..

I believe that Hosepipe is correct. We HAVE waited too long and it IS too late.
This does not mean that we cannot turn things around but it does mean that the price will be a terrible one to pay. Those who are putting their faith in the 2010 and 2012 election cycles are nieve. The power of this thread is its overwhelming clarity that we have come to the end of our rope and must employ draconian measures if we are to save our Constitutional government.
The people of Iran are facing a reality not totally dissimilar to ours. They have been beaten and murdered by the thousands, their economy lies in ruins, and their women have acid thrown in their faces for allowing a curl of hair to show. Our most innocent babies are slaughtered by the tens of thousands, our economy is eroding by design and our women are slandered and assaulted by pornography and leftist ideologues.
We have begun taking to the streets. We are threatened with dire consequences as terrorists. We are realizing that we have lost control of the engines of our Constitutional government. We, too, have a madman as president and a cabal of criminals in control of government.
This will be a dark and terrible struggle with no promise of success. We are facing a millenium of darkness.

Many times overlooked is the many more multi millions that have been made miserable by their governments.. if not maimed or imprisoned as well..

i.e.. Communism(socialists), Nazis, Fascists, Monarchys, Oligarchys of various types.. and not a few democracys being Mob Rule by Mobsters.. Banana Republics are democracys being central governments..

Add up all the dead, maimed and imprisoned, it is a much larger number.. overlooking those merely made miserable.. then you're looking at billions..

Sad to say, thats true..
Thats the first time I've noticed O'Bama referred to as a MADMAN..

Its true.. he is a madman..
Supported by many MAD-PEOPLE...
The cowardice of ignoring the truth must be engaged..

If not engaged and confronted HERE(FR) then WHERE?..

A hyperbolic situation must be described with hyperbolic TERMS.. else; you are performing disinformation.. maybe even propaganda..

Beautiful speech... and right on..
Interesting times await..

America seems to be "seething"..
Seems like parties have become or are becoming obsolete..

A caucus is forming.. no doubt "some" are tactically trying to splinter it(them).. What the wolves fear is the sheep stampeding..

Thats exactly whats needed is a Stampede.. not over a cliff but over the wolves.. No doubt many sheep and lambs would be smushed.. But a stampede is whats needed like a forest fire is sometimes needed for the health of the forest..

Indeed. Plus we'd also be looking at the death of a civilization and its associated way of life.

Thank you dear brother in Christ for noticing such details....
