An ill wind is blowing in America. Ordinary citizens from coast to coast are feeling a growing sense of outrage over what they are witnessing in Washington. At least one talk radio host states that the rage he is hearing from his listeners indicates that trouble is brewing beneath the surface that could erupt into the streets, not in violence, but in peaceful protest that sends a signal to Washington.
Well spoken, my FRiend, well spoken...
CA....
That won’t even work. There are now more of them than there are of us. And each day they increase and we decrease.
[To Wit] If every person that called themselves a Christian and every legitmate gun owner had voted against obama it would have been no contest.
But that did not happen.obama got much more of his share of the votes of both groups.
So we are where we are.
ACORN has billions of dollars to ensure that it only gets worse in the future.
Elections do have consequences.

One of the best posts I have ever read on here also. Thank you.

"There is only one tactical principle which is not subject to change. It is to use the means at hand to inflict the maximum amount of wound, death, and destruction on the enemy in the minimum amount of time." George S. Patton
That deserves its own thread.
I say . . . speak truth to power . . . whatever the risk . . . yet with Holy Spirit’s wisdom.
Truth will ultimately demonstrate His own power.
And power for power’s sake will be imprisoned to collapse in on itself eternally.
During the 04 election, I joined in with a bunch of young Protest Warriors in welcoming M. Moore to Salem. I was prolly the oldest guy their holding a sign, but it was fun.
(And a great homepage brother - preach on!!!!!)
Well there are a series of boxes we have recourse to. The leadership of our country can decide which one they want to respond to. The Soapbox. The ballot box. The ammo box. The ball is in their court.
It appears with the Tea parties and the current dissent is the Soapbox. The Ballot Box comes in 2010 — perhaps in 2012 at latest... After that...???
??? What planet has this person been on the last three months.
Noumenon:
That is either the best peice of political rhetoric since Patrick Henry’s “Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death,” or you are completely, utterly and totally insane! FOr the record, I tend to believe the former!
I would caution that the time is not yet — but I, too, am afraid it is coming, and it may be impossible to avoid now. Tremendous passion appreciated, my FRiend!

SO, if our cause is right and just, should we just lay down and surrender, Sport? Or do we stand, even as the Founders stood, no matter what we may have to sacrifice in the process — like Lives, fortunes, and sacred honor?

“A Whiter Shade of Pale”
Speech of Janice Rogers Brown,
Associate Justice, California Supreme Court
I will close with a story I like a lot. It’s a true story. It happened on June 10, 1990. A British Airways jet bound for Malaga, Spain, took off from Birmingham, England. It was expected to be a routine flight. As the jet climbed through the 23,000-foot level, there was a loud bang; the cockpit windshield directly in front of the captain blew out. The sudden decompression sucked Captain Lancaster out of his seatbelt and into the hole left by the windscreen. A steward who happened to be in the cockpit managed to snag the captain’s feet as he hurtled past. Another steward rushed onto the flight deck, strapped himself into the captain’s chair and, helped by other members of the crew, clung with all his strength to the captain. The slipstream was so fierce, they were unable to drag the pilot back into the plane. His clothing was ripped from his body. With Lancaster plastered against the nose of the jet, the co-pilot donned an oxygen mask and flew the plane to Southampton approximately 15 minutes away and landed safely. The captain had a fractured elbow, wrist and thumb; a mild case of frostbite, but was otherwise unharmed.
We find ourselves, like the captain, in a situation that is hopeless but not yet desperate. The arcs of history, culture, philosophy, and science all seem to be converging on this temporal instant. Familiar arrangements are coming apart; valuable things are torn from our hands, snatched away by the decompression of our fragile ark of culture. But, it is too soon to despair. The collapse of the old system may be the crucible of a new vision. We must get a grip on what we can and hold on. Hold on with all the energy and imagination and ferocity we possess. Hold on even while we accept the darkness. We know not what miracles may happen; what heroic possibilities exist. We may be only moments away from a new dawn.
This is the substance of what I intend to deliver this July Fourth. A little less of the historical quote, a tad less incendiary in the last few sentences, and a little more of the oath I’ve taken up front. It’s got to stay simple.
These are my values and they’re worth fighting for. These are the values that most sane people hold dear.
And these are the people who are arrayed against you and everything you stand for.
And this is what you must do if you’re going to retain your freedom and your dignity.
That’s the message.
to me the worst part is the patience in achieving their goals...to the point that many 'good' people wont react because theve simply been immunized from the rage that a free citizen should have on a near daily basis lately...
fortunately, there are still 'enough' citizens, currently, to be sufficient for the day...
The Democrats will totally meltdown emotionally if conservatives start matching.
You know, comrades," says Stalin, "that I think in regard to this: I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how; but what is extraordinarily important is this - who will count the votes, and how." Memoirs of the former secretary of Stalin (loosely translated, original in Russian)
ACORN will be counting the votes.
I haven't cried in a very long time. Haven't allowed myself because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to stop. I have so much worth living for that it is worth dying for. And I am crying now because I know what you say is true.
If war it is, then....
