I have been reading some discussion regarding guns and ammunition recently and as a lady have always had trouble with a shotgun or rifle due to the length of the barrel. I can use it, but sometimes uncomfortable or not able to aim quickly due to the weight or size.
I went to Walmart today and there is a nice rifle there made by Rossi that is $147. It has an interchangable barrel between a .22 or a .410. So if they are out of one type of ammo, you can go with the other if necessary.
Also, the barrel is short and the gun itself is very lightweight.
So I thought I'd share.

ps.. my dimensions are similar to yours.. 511 also has cool velcro pocket that will hide a glock 26 without trouble.

from someone who owns several Glocks and a couple of Taurus(s) let me offer some finacial advice. Go with a Taurus. I have found that most people who bad mouth Taurus are Glock owners who are just trying to justify paying 3 times more for their gun. If you’re looking for a small hand gun I would go with the Taurus Millenium PT-140 Pro. It a .40 with a lot of stopping power, easy to conceal, easy to clean, and easy to shoot.

I saw that in the Guns and Ammo AK-47 special issue. Is that a Krebs custom job? Nice!
I’ve got a Mossberg with a top-folding stock but that leaves it in the shade.
I’m looking for a CZ 75 slide and barrel for my CZ `Kadet’ .22. Don’t know why it wouldn’t work on that frame.

I want to wait to practice with the various guns they have at the range to decide which one I like the best for a pistol or revolver. That's the most sensible comment so far. For what it's worth, your thinking is absolutely correct on this count.

Consider joining the NRA and look for local clubs and learn gun safety.

Is the CZ-82 a .380? CZ makes very nice guns. The prices have gone up.

That’s just a picture of a Saiga 12 I pulled off the net, not mine. I’ve tricked mine out with a Tapco collapsing stock, custom forestock with 3 rails and a folding grip. I’ve added a flash hider too. I’m waiting on the combo laser and flashlight to go on the front rail, and a red dot sight to go on the receiver rail. Should be completed in a week and I’ll post some pics of mine.

I should have waited. My early model Glock doesn’t have a rail system.

That's my piece, the S&W Sigma 40f.
Got one of these too.
But I'm still more of a long gun fan...

They have a 20g combo model??
Checking into that one next.
I’m beginning to think guns are like tatoos. Addictive!
