After 10 years and many thousands of replies, I am leaving FR.

I don't really care, and I don't know why anyone else would.

I am leaving before I am banned (again). Truth doesn't seem to matter on FR. I don't know if it is donations or sympathetic opinions that do, but I have been suspended twice when I followed the rules and the people who complained to the moderators didn't, yet the moderators sided with them.

For the record, evolution is a fact and the Shroud of Turin is a fraud. I would prove it if the admin moderators would let me, but they won't. Your resident "expert", Swordmaker won't debate me because he can't.

I will work to build a forum where members have rights and truth matters.

Merry Christmas

You said — “Please, wasn’t Jesus that said God’s word is not to be forced on anyone? I guess a few more million people needs to be slaughtered for not converting to Roman Catholism.”

Well..., I’m not advising to convert to Roman Catholicism, actually. In terms of salvation, I would only refer to what the Bible says for accepting Jesus Christ as one’s personal Savior.

BUT, in matters of policy and teaching “theories” (in school) or promoting same-sex marriages — those are all issues that are derived out of the Bible, God’s Word in our conduct and understanding of the world from that same Bible. So, apart from matters of salvation — we do, as Christians, have rights to promote and enforce certain types of policies and behaviors and morals, as we are guided by God’s word. That’s a different matter than salvation.

Salvation is a free-will choice by a person, as to whether they want to go to hell or not... It’s up to them if they want to burn in hell forever, I guess... LOL...

But, in other matters, we find that others are just as “forceful” in making us believe and “learn” (by means of public education) that God doesn’t exist, that He didn’t create the universe and that we *must believe* and accept that we’re descended from the “goo to the zoo to us...”, along with the corresponding corollary of accepting same-sex marriage, because if there is no God, then there is no reason for us *not* to act like the animals the gays are acting like (doncha know...).

Why argue pro-evolution on a religion forum?

Probably in pursuit of a FReeper who had posted pro-God on an evo thread. The Crevo wars were legendary, back in, what, 2005?

I can’t argue with your post because I’m pretty much in total agreement. : )

I debated you at length about Huckabee in the prez race, and frankly you were one of the most evasive, twisty, button pushing, hack types I’ve ever met on here. I question your intentions and motivations for being here. Not shedding many tears about you going.

Well, you know Swordmaker can't be right, because he also thinks than Macs are better than Windows machines.

Why so argumentative. Can't you find something else to discuss besides evolution and the shroud of Turin?

Well, which came first, the chicken or the egg? Did the one follow the other over, or was it the other side, first, that started it? LOL...

But, in any case, I guess it’s hard for evolutionist to let the creationist go right on by, as it is for the creationists to let the evolutionist get by with their stuff...

In my case, there’s no doubt that evolutionism is a religion of sorts that wants absolutely nothing to do with God, at all, in any way, shape or form, no matter how far they have to go to bolster their house of cards. And likewise, anyone who knows that the Word of God is absolutely true and inerrant and infallible (like me), is going to acknowledge what God says *at His word* — as He was the *one witness* who was there and “saw it all happen”... :-)

I think the mix is so powerful, because the left in America long ago stopped being “liberal” in the traditional sense of the word (that is to say, pro-freedom and individualistic) and became group-thinking socialist, militantly athiest wannabe tyrants.

If you’re not of deep faith, then keep it to yourself. Why argue pro-evolution on a religion forum?

I hope I get better than a "C+".

If you like, a special offer to you only, you can submit it to me, a former 6th grade teacher, and I and my hubby, a current Language Arts teacher and my daughter, also a Freeper and an English major at Auburn, will be happy to critique it for you and assign a grade.

I'm just trying to be helpful.

Merry Christmas!
