Our dear friend, Snugs, from across the sea in the UK, is going through a very tough family crisis.
Her beloved Dad, Bryan, has had serious abdominal surgery and is struggling mightily in the hospital.
They're fearful that, unless he can muster the strength to cough and get his lungs working normally again, his condition will soon gravely deteriorate.
Snugs is such a dear soul who has been so kind to so many here at FR, and has SO many FRiends here.
I know she would appreciate it so very much if you would add her Dad, Bryan, to your prayers.
Lord, bring him comfort and the strength he needs to get through this post-surgical phase, guide his medical team, be with him and his loving daughter, our dear FRiend, Snugs. Bless her with wisdom to make the proper medical decisions for him. Hover near Bryan and Snugs with Your loving comfort.
Prayers on the way!
Prayers for a quick and full recovery
Prayers for you as well snugs
I’m including you and your dad in my prayers, snugs.
I hopw he improves quickly and makes a full recovery soon. And may God grant you the peace and the strength you need to get through this challenge successfully.
(((snugs)))
Praying as hard as I can for your father and strength for you.
Almighty and Eternal God,
You are the everlasting health of those who believe in You.
Hear us for Your sick servant Bryan
for whom we implore the aid of Your tender mercy,
that being restored to bodily health,
he (she) may give thanks to You in Your Church.
Through Christ our Lord.
Amen
May the Lord give your father the strength to fight and you the strength to support him in these vital days of recovery.
Praying for both of you. I know firsthand the terrible strain you are under.
Be sure to eat.
I am so sorry Snugs. God bless you, and prayers for you and your family during this time.
When I arrived this morning at the hospital he was very hot and had a very high temperature but despite this was much more with it and his voice is slowly returning.
For the first time he started to ask questions about the op and his recovery. He has also started to cough if somewhat weakly.
He has now been transferred out of ITU as he no longer needs to the intensive treatment but really just building up and being strong enough to cough.
He is back on the main ward - praise God thanks for those who prayed for this and not a side ward. We did have one major breakdown in the system he was transferred down to the ward and although I heard ITU request a pump be available for his feed it took nearly 2 hours to get and hook him up. I lost it a bit I am afraid and the Staff Nurse in charge accused me of verbal abuse, I pointed up that I was not abusing her but overwrought and concerned as I had been advised his only chance is building his strength up and so being without nourishment for nearly 4 hours including disconnecting in ITU is not aiding his chances.
I finally left the ward at 10.00pm after all feeds and drips etc were connected.
All in all though there is an improvement but whether he can maintain or get there quick enough remains to be seen. Prayer has certainly got us this far though.
Love
Eleanor
May the Lord bless you both and keep you in the palms of his hands.
Grant them peace.
Amen
