Our dear friend, Snugs, from across the sea in the UK, is going through a very tough family crisis.
Her beloved Dad, Bryan, has had serious abdominal surgery and is struggling mightily in the hospital.
They're fearful that, unless he can muster the strength to cough and get his lungs working normally again, his condition will soon gravely deteriorate.
Snugs is such a dear soul who has been so kind to so many here at FR, and has SO many FRiends here.
I know she would appreciate it so very much if you would add her Dad, Bryan, to your prayers.
Lord, bring him comfort and the strength he needs to get through this post-surgical phase, guide his medical team, be with him and his loving daughter, our dear FRiend, Snugs. Bless her with wisdom to make the proper medical decisions for him. Hover near Bryan and Snugs with Your loving comfort.
Hang in there, snugsie, we are all praying for you both.
Lord, this seems like a setback for Snugs’ Dad, but we thank You that are greater than any setback on a human level, and we plead your mercy for Bryan and especially for Snugs, that you would spare her Dad and raise him to good health. Give Snugs the peace she needs and help her to be able to sleep when she has a chance to do so. I ask this all in Jesus’ Name.
You and your father, my idea of a true Englishman, are in my prayers also snugs.
Constant prayers throughout the day for Bryan, and for you.

I hope and pray that they put the feeding tube into the right place so your father can get the nourishment his body needs to regain its strength. You are a loving daughter.

Prayers for snugs and Bryan, that he meets this challenge and is returned to health.
Snugs has represented the very best of FR, especially commendable since our Cheney Chick is from the UK. Bless you, snugs.
Little better report today from yesterday. It now seems almost certain that the aspiration was from the feeding tube.
They have reinserted a new one, xrayed and checked that it is in stomach with litmus paper and listened that there are stomach noises and the night staff will put the feed up.
I will ring later to check that it has been done.
He slept until about 7.00pm when they then sat him up and tried sips of water but really he was too tired and coughed a lot personally I thought it was silly to push that too much with him being tired as there was a chance he might aspirate again.
Anyhow they are satisfied that the swallow is OK but he is just too tired to do it efficiently at present.
Apart from the his stats remained stable apart from the temperature which as usual does spike over a 12 hour day.
The chest infection seems to be rescinding and I think he is stronger in himself and can hold his position in the bed better.
Prayers requested that the lungs can clear whatever food or liquid aspirated and that the chest infection clears up completely.
Once again many thanks for all your prayers and thoughts.
