Greenlighters are an emerging underground movement of sexually promiscuous teenagers, including bisexual, homosexual, and heterosexual members. Members of this movement wear a green polo shirt with the collar up, indicating that they are open to pretty much any sexual adventure. When someone comes up to them and puts the collar down, they are "collared" and will go with that person and do whatever sexual act they ask. Transfer of money is not usually involved. Some parent groups are starting to get involved - urging parents to go through their kids clothes and confiscate green shirts and polos. Supposedly this has been going on since mid-2004 and may be related to the "chavs" in Britain somehow.
I did NOT create that site.
I'm just trying to inform of it's existence.
Those are peoples kids on there posting.
I guess calling out a troll is more important than preserving our children.
I've seen enough porn to not have any desire to go there.
I hope you are legit, I don't defend trolls. I do hate to see good people get the zot, though.
Now they tell me....
We have words that are commonly used to describe people that post information from emails they receive. Most of these words are not flattering. It would be a good idea to verify any warnings you receive by email and include a link to actual verification sources prior to posting so that you don't appear to be an idiot.
I verified that the site is indeed legit before posting it.
Do you think someone is faking the hundreds of people posting messages on that board?
What else do you want?
Just because this is so sick that you don't want to believe it, please don't shoot the messenger.
This stuff must really loosen the inhibitions.
Free Republic gets a lot of traffic. How do we know you aren't somehow promoting that sick site?
"Susie, I found this green shirt in your drawer never mind that I bought it for you a few months ago WHAT ARE YOU DOING AND WHO ARE YOU DOING IT WITH??"
Do you honestly believe that if I were going to try to promote that kind of activity, I would do it here?
You're insane.
New advertising logo: "Give her a Green Light and you will get the green light!"
How about some more documentation and links to support what you are trying to say? To come here, sign up just to post what you received in an email is S-T-U-P-I-D and so are you if you expect to be taken seriously.
File under: what's wrong with people today
If a kid is wearing a green Izod, I doubt they are gonna get "collared." They are kind of like the glasses they issue in boot camp - birth control gear.
Alright. Since you're new around here, I'll 'splain some things to you.
It's better to lurk awhile and get a sense of the atmosphere in a forum before posting to it, much less initiating a thread. For most, that goes without saying, but some need to have it explicitly stated.
Conventional wisdom says that it is unadvisable to register a screen name and initiate a thread on the same day if the subject is, like a sour note, out-of-synch with the general format. Posts linking to objectionable material are especially suspect. This is a behavior common among "trolls" and places the new registrant on a sort of unofficial watch list. If the registrant survives, their future posts will be monitored by some to ensure that they are not a troll after all.
We at FreeRepublic greatly relish the hallowed ZOT and take great joy at the appearance of any occasion to legitimately celebrate it. Thus, it behooves new registrants to make extra effort not to appear trollish until they have logged a substantive history on the forum that proves otherwise.
So, you've stepped in it straightway, but all is not lost. Go post replies to other threads that demonstrate that you have functional grey matter and you will likely survive this day.
If you do, welcome to FreeRepublic.
But always remember:
We keep you alive to serve this ship. Row well, and live.
Sent your bank account info to Nigeria recently?
LOL
Good catch.
You still don't get it - there's no need to "preserve our children." This is not a real problem.
You're either a troll or you've fallen for the First Internet Fallacy - just because you read something on a website doesn't mean that it's true.
I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and presume that you're not a troll. But you've been fooled by an Internet hoax, and the more you protest the bigget fool you'll appear.
Helpful tips to avoid this happening again - don't trust unsolicited emails, and anything that screams "for the children" is usually up to no good.
I'm wearing a sage green T-shirt.
Speaking of cheese, I had some good cheeses last night. The Blue Cheese was my favorite. The smoked Gouda was pretty good to. (No pun intended.)
First off, I am not new here.
I read this site every day for news, I just never had any reason to post something.
Second, what more proof do you want than the actual messageboard full of kids talking about doing this?
This is an actual problem that needs to be addressed.
Maybe next week when it hits the MSM you can come back and write me a little apology.
