I hate to give Steven Spielberg any money, and I hate the fact that Spielberg spouts the lie that the Republican party of Lincoln's day is now the Democrat party.
I am sure that it is another Lefty propaganda piece.
But it looks like a well-made movie.
Should I stay or should I go?
Just wait a few more hours and you'll be able to stream it from sites like 1channel ;)
Bond.....James Bond..........
If you want to go pick up chicks, the new twilight movie is out.
just kidding
in your own words, surely a lefty propaganda piece, but it might be well made lefty propaganda piece.
you really want well-made to trump lefty propaganda piece? you want to pay good money to put more of that garbage into your own head?
I'm other words, no. Go see Bond instead.
NOOOOOO....dont support hollyweird
Go to the range instead.
(That’s what I’m going to do. Final sight-in with the deer gun.)
If it were any other FReeper, I’d say forget about it. They are in the process of rewriting American History...just wait until the Washington movie comes out and portrays him as a womanizer and cheat!
BUT, I trust your judgement and there may be strong need for educated minds, of the historical and literary nature, to defend the myths and lies the progressive rewrites concoct.
Already saw it.
Yeah, but those are shot with a camera from inside the theater. I gave up on those. I wait for the DVD rip to be uploaded.
Day-Lewis is one of those rarist of birds: a real actor. His range is spooky profound. “My Left Foot” to “Last of the Mohicans” to the pic with DeCaprio and the one about the Irish guys.
I saw “Skyfall” because, well, it IS Bond. This is a whole ‘nuther level of wanting to see something, though.
The History Channel played its long piece on Lincoln the other night. I’d forgotten about him having premonitions. I didn’t know that for some reason, he told his guard to take the night off at the Ford Theater, so the guy wasn’t there.
You make a good point. E Pluribus Unum could go reconnoiter for us.....
” Ill wait until my public library gets the DVD.”
And you’ll still never see it. Library dvds always seem to be all scratched up and unplayable. Am I the only library patron who knows how to properly handle dvd discs? Did previous borrowers use them as coasters or frisbees?
Here’s an idea: don’t support Hollywood at all. Go Galt with your dollars.
Shouldn’t your name be lowbrow?
Don’t give the libs any new ideas. They’ll come up with a new tax for “Library Patron Training on Electronic Media Abuse Prevention”. It’s for the children, of course.
There was a review earlier today. Said it was terrible.
Me, I wouldn’t spend another cent to improve Steven Spielberg’s holdings, as if he needed it.
Last time we went to a movie, other movie goers wouldn’t shut up, it was crowded, smelly, expensive ...and I had my I-phone stolen ..within MINUTES of leaving the theater.
We’re done with theaters — and who wants to risk sitting there while some kook comes in and starts shooting as well.
I’ll wait to catch it CHEAP, on DVD.
Can anyone recommend a really good historically accurate book on Lincoln?
