I know he left Fox News amid controversy. Still, what Bill O’Reilly told Glenn Beck does dovetail with other reports about the Biden family and close advisers discussing 2024 with the president in the aftermath of a brutal debate performance against Donald Trump. The former president drove over Biden with a tank in what was probably the easiest debate for Trump in his short, meteoric political career. The Camp David gathering ended with Joe being urged by his arguably psychopathic family to remain in the race: Jill wants to cling to power like Lady Macbeth. At the same time, Hunter...

Zen, important school of East Asian Buddhism that constitutes the mainstream monastic form of Mahayana Buddhism in China, Korea, and Vietnam and accounts for approximately 20 percent of the Buddhist temples in Japan. The word derives from the Sanskrit dhyana, meaning “meditation.” Central to Zen teaching is the belief that awakening can be achieved by anyone but requires instruction in the proper forms of spiritual cultivation by a master. In modern times, Zen has been identified especially with the secular arts of medieval Japan (such as the tea ceremony, ink painting, and gardening) and with any spontaneous expression of artistic...

On this date in 1822, white South Carolinians hanged the most terrifying slave insurrectionary who never rose — and breathed a sigh of relief as they clamped the shackles ever tighter upon their groaning servile class. Inspired by slave revolts shaking the Caribbean, the Denmark Vesey plot was the South’s worst nightmare: Nat Turner, multiplied by about nine thousand. That’s the size of the slave and free black network Vesey is said to have recruited — ready to undertake a coordinated uprising to seize Charleston, slaughter the white populace, and possibly then to sail for a Haiti whose own slave...

Since 2005, he’s been a fixture at the Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest on Coney Island in Brooklyn, racking up championships and revolutionizing competitive eating in the process. (He’s won the event 16 times, including the past eight years in a row, and owns the world record of 76 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes.) But this summer brought a seismic shift for the contest. Major League Eating announced in the New York Post that Chestnut would not be able to eat at Coney Island this year because of his partnership with Impossible Foods, which sells plant-based...

Vice President Harris is running closer to former President Trump than President Biden is, according to a new poll. The CNN poll released Tuesday found that 45 percent of registered voters would support Harris in a hypothetical match-up with Trump. She is 2 percentage points behind the former president, who received 47 percent support in a head-to-head contest with Harris. Five percent of respondents said they would choose someone else. On the other hand, Biden trailed Trump by 6 points in the poll. Trump is leading with 49 percent support in a match-up with the president, while Biden received 43...

Joe Biden told donors at a fundraiser at a private home in McLean, Virginia Tuesday evening that he “almost fell asleep on stage” during his debate debacle with President Trump last Thursday. Biden was introduced at the fundraiser by Rep. Don Beyer (D-VA). Biden blamed ‘flying around the world’ in the weeks before the debate for his fatigue. The New York Times reported earlier Tuesday that during the week-long debate prep at Camp David, Biden was scheduled for a daily afternoon nap. Biden’s comments were reported by pool reporter Andrew Feinberg who noted that Biden “spoke very softly” (no mention...

Polling has started to come out following last week’s presidential debate between former President Trump and President Biden, showing some indications of Trump gaining in the aftermath. Anticipation for the debate built up in advance for both candidates, but especially for Biden, who was hoping to use the night to overcome worries that he’s not up to the job of president for four more years. Instead, he at times stumbled over his words, struggled to make clear statements on policy positions and did not present significant energy that many Democrats wanted to see. Although Trump made numerous false statements throughout...

Ahead of former vice-president Joe Biden’s expected 2020 presidential bid, women are speaking out about their personal interactions with him — alleging he physically touched them in ways that made them feel uncomfortable. Last week, the Cut published an essay by Lucy Flores, a former Nevada lieutenant governor nominee, who wrote that Biden smelled her hair and kissed the back of her head at a campaign event in 2014. In the week since, several more women have come forward. Below, here’s a running list of the allegations against Biden. Lucy Flores On March 29, in the aforementioned essay published on...

As the desperate search for a Biden replacement continues amongst Dem insiders and anxious liberals, one possible replacement shines through the dark. In a recent Reuters/Ispos poll which surveyed 1,070 U.S. adults across the country, found that in a match-up between former first lady Michelle Obama and President Trump, Obama would win in a 50-39 margin against the former president. Obama, who has previously said she will not run for president, beat out all other Biden alternatives offered in the poll

President Joe Biden has blamed his poor debate performance last week on jet lag, telling reporters that he "wasn't very smart" for "travelling around the world a couple of times" before the debate. "I didn’t listen to my staff... and then I nearly fell asleep on stage,” he said. Mr Biden, 81, last returned from travel on 15 June, nearly two weeks ahead of the 27 June debate. Mr Biden's remarks come amid intra-party panic ahead of November's election over his mental fitness,

Justice Department officials plan to pursue the criminal cases against Donald Trump past Election Day even if he wins, under the belief that department rules against charging or prosecuting a sitting president would not kick in until Inauguration Day in January, according to people familiar with the discussions. That approach may become more consequential given this week’s Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity, which probably will lead to further delays to Trump’s election interference trial in D.C. and has already affected one of his state cases. Senior law enforcement officials have long viewed the two federal indictments against Trump —...

Hunter Biden, 54, the president’s son, who was recently convicted of three gun-related felonies, is reportedly sitting in on meetings with his father in the West Wing, as the Biden family tries to manage the fallout of last week’s debate.
